"How do you write such realistic dialogue-" I TALK TO MYSELF. I TALK TO MYSELF AND I PRETEND I AM THE ONE SAYING THE LINE. LIKE SANITY IS SLOWLY SLIPPING FROM BETWEEN MY FINGERS WITH EVERY MEASLY WORD THEY TYPE OUT. THAT IS HOW.

Writing Tips
** by @gg-writes
Recently I came across a very useful post on r/writing and asked the author for permission to share. (In equal measure it’s a reminded for myself). Thanks a lot for this gg !
If your introduction is boring, don’t start there.
You started this story with at least one scene in mind. Don’t worry about how to get there at first. Start at the interesting scene. You’ll know when you finish the rough draft if you need to start it earlier than that.
Write it for YOU first. Write for your audience in the editing stage.
By all means, write those poetic musings if they come to you, but don’t stress if they don’t. They can always be added later, but you can’t add to something that doesn’t exist yet. Don’t be afraid to leave yourself notes directly in the writing about ideas for what the character can do! Remember, rough drafts are for word vomit and you can’t clean it up if it isn’t there.
You hit the period of the story between two plot points and you don’t know how to bridge them yet?
Then don’t! Seriously, if you’re angrily tapping your notebook with a pencil trying to think of a realistic way for your character to get from point B to point C (not that I know from experience), just write “Character has a (blank) experience that eventually leads to…” and get on with the parts of the story you’re passionate about.
what's a good replacement for "as he...."? for example, "he sighed as he realized he couldn't deny it anymore."
A period. "He sighed. He couldn't deny it anymore."
A comma. "He sighed, realizing he couldn't deny it anymore."
Or just find a different way to express that thought, perhaps by showing it or implying it. "He sighed and looked at the ground. 'It was me, I did it.' "
Death in Heaven WIP
"Coffee, please."
The fallen angel frowned, but moved to the coffee machine nonetheless. As he turned, Vrethiel noticed a motif on the back of his black shirt - white wings spread all along his shoulders. The angel felt a small smile flit across his face. It reminded him that, quite frankly, they were still of the same stock, even if on opposite sides.
"Do you miss it?" the angel shot suddenly.
"Miss what?" Sirrath asked leaning to a small fridge to reach for milk.
"Heaven." Demon looked back caught off guard by the question and slipped sunglasses back on his nose.
"Nah, I have more than I need over here and no one to tell me what to do."
