Can I just state for the record that not all muslims are homophobic assholes? We don’t all hate gay/lesbian/bisexual/ etc people. Some people take the writing of the Quran literally but that doesn’t make it ok for anyone to just assume that we all have some unfounded hatred for people who like the same gender. Don’t go around thinking that everyone follows the religion to the last word. Before you say anything about our religion maybe you should educate yourselves instead of making yourself sound like an idiot. As my queen Sana once said “Because hate doesn’t come from religion, it comes from hate.”

I don’t think any non muslim could possibly understand how Skam is making me feel right now. I have never been represented on tv or film like this before and it’s making me an emotional mess. I feel Sana, and Yousef, and Elias, and all the muslim teenagers on a freakin spiritual level. I understand them completely, unlike I’ve ever understood a character on a tv show I love before. Their conflicts are my conflicts, and it’s beautiful. All I can think to say is thank you, random norwegian tv show I happened to come across last year. Thank you for existing. That you for letting me experience this.
