Now that Saizo and MC are together, do you think he still does 'it' during missions? And would MC feel insecure knowing that he's done with it women who are possibly more attractive and of higher status?
In all honesty, I think donāt think he would after being together with MC. And there are a few reasons why.Ā
1) He is one of the best Iga ninja, the top according to many sources. Sex is a very easy way to gain information or get close to someone. Itās like a shortcut, and I can see saizo being able to seduce enough with just light touches and breathy whispers in the ear before ever needing to resort to sex.Ā
2) He is male. The story is set in Sengoku and although time does not change humans and gender identity, only our views, I think that it is less likely he has to resort to such means to infiltrate or garner information/access. During this time, a lot of ninja were WOMEN. Like Saizoās sister Yuki. Which is AMAZING!!! They were less suspect during the time, and gained access to councils, high power officials, and information etc more easily. And despite there being intimate relations with retainers and lords at this time to strengthen bonds, I feel there is less of a need for Saizo to gain information in this specific way. He is noted as an assassin. Sure, he needs to gain info from time to time, but he is sent in with the specific intent to KILL or ELIMINATE. That is his purpose. Not seducing and gathering info. Unless, of course, the village wishes it or itās a last resort.Ā Ā
3) MC is more important than Iga. Time and time again he proves that the village can tell him whatever they want, but MC comes first. Not to mention he detests physical intimacy in the first place. He has an extensive grasp of the mechanics but the emotional input is negative at best. Itās a means to an end, and no matter what he is put up against, MC always wins in the end. If he is willing to die on her behalf, he can deflect sexual advances.Ā
That being said, you asked if MC would be insecure.Ā
As I stated in my previous post about Saizo, he is selfless and always thinking about others, though he does not show it. He denies it even to himself. It would be a cold day in hell before I could see Saizo telling MC he had sex with someone else. She doesnāt know anything about any of his missions. And she knows better than to press him. Thatās part of their trust.Ā
Saizoās life, to a certain extent, or depending on who you ask, to a full extent, is not his own. This is part of their relationship. MC knows that being with him garners a cloak of mystery, but she trusts him enough to know he does right by her. And he knows that. And knowing inside that she has hold of his whole heart, I can not see him in the least doing anything intimate with anyone else knowing that itās something important to her.Ā
Saizo does not see people in the same way. Attraction, status, etc. These things mean nothing to him. Almost everyone means nothing to him. Except MC and Yukimura.Ā
I think it is in our nature to think about the past and as a normal person equate sexual relations to feelings when it comes to our partners. But then I think of your ask and tbh the MC in this game is vastly different than myself or anyone I know, haha! She is submissive a lot, upset at times I wouldnāt be upset, and trulyā¦ā¦truly an idiot. hahah.Ā
So if you are asking specifically about this MC and if she would be jealousā¦I would say she would be a bit. (and if you would feel a bit jealous and insecure as well there is honestly nothing wrong with that!!!)Ā
She would worry about it, mostly due to insecurities. Which makes sense that the hang ups would be the fact that she doesnāt please Saizo in the way others could, or she doesnāt deserve him, based on his experiences and her lack-there-of. Saizo is a truly intimidating person. She is always fretting, because he doesnāt communicate well with her or anyone else, that she is not enough.Ā
She worries constantly about her lack of status and her beauty. Even seeing Saizoās sister sends her into a bit of a frenzy of inadequacy. But Saizo loves her purely for her innocence at heart, and her love and acceptance of him. Her goodness. Anyone that could accept and love him for who he is at his worst is someone worth clinging to. Same goes for Yukimura. And even if she did start to feel insecure, Saizo will notice immediately and reassure her that physical attraction is not something he cares about. Nor status. Though, he would not express this in words.
Saizo is the least person to care about his own status and being a lord. There is no way he would want to bring that burden upon himself. After all, he is a child of darkness. He is supposed to move unnoticed and invisible. Being with someone of high stature would be the worst thing for him! Not to mention he sees the issues and hardships of the Sanada clan with whom he grew up with. The obsticles Yukimura faces.Ā
All Saizo wants is to live his own life, and for MC to be happy.Ā
He wouldnāt compromise this for anything. And though he can not control MCās feelings, he definitely knows several ways to occupy her mind or remind her just who his love belongs to.Ā
