Freedom
Nahuel was sitting outside of a cafe in France, his eyes constantly darting around his surroundings. This new freedom he now has been given by Nayeli has been an adjustment. Never would he have thought he would be free from the city and apart of the human world. This was all so new to him; having to hide to the world of what he is. All Nahuel could think how glad he’s has Nayeli with him to help him adjust to this new life.
His thoughts went to his mother, before he left the city he finally went to her grave and said goodbye to her. Not once since her death has he visited her, as the memory of losing her was too hard on him. Kissing the headstone he placed white tulips on stone, "I’m finally leaving ma’ma, I promise you I will behave this time around. I will forever love you”, he said to her tombstone. He then walked over to his fathers tombstone but there was no body or even ashes, “I hated you, ever since I learned of the word I have hated you. Which is why I have never regretted what I did and I doubt I ever will. I will see you in hell”, he said to his father’s tombstone.
Memories of his life in Covaire hit him as he left the city for good, making a promise to himself that he was never going to return. With all the positive and happy memories there was also twice as much negative ones. Such memories that he would trade over in a heart beat.
He was taken out of his thoughts when the waiter came over with his order. Nahuel handed him his change and a tip. He could hear the sounds of heals walking towards him he smiled knowing that it was the woman who granted him his freedom. Lifting his coffee to his lips he took a sip, knowing this was just the beginning to his new life.
