Review- Wah London Ultimate Nail Kit
I bought this box on a whim whilst shopping and it was an absolute bargin! If you were to buy all of the items individually it would cost you around £125 however I got it for £25 from Boots! I can honestly say I have never looked back and neither will you.
The kit comes with 7 nails varnishes and a base/top coat. The colours are: green, blue, red, purple, pink, beige and pale pink. I found that whilst the colours are lovely and vibrant you have to be really careful when applying them. I have had my fair share of melt downs when hours later at least one of my nails smudges (Haven’t we all been there?) and when these varnishes are applied too thickly that is exactly what happens. You’re better off applying two thin coats of nail varnish than to pile it on; be aware that the blue nail varnish is a lot thicker than the rest. I found that the base/top coat often has air bubbles and after a month or so it was too thick to apply and started to become irritating to use. The kit also has 3 nail art tutorials which look great after a little bit of practise with the pens.
The nail art pens are proof that god does exist. They work as a two in one, if you press the sides of the cap and push up you have a pen which works wonders if you want polka-dot nails. If you twist the lid you have a thin brush, be careful because a lot of the varnish collects on the brush. Do not be mistaken, excess nail varnish is not your friend. The kit comes in four colours: black, white, yellow and pink. After looking at the Wah London nail art pens collection I feel like I need to immediately go out and buy every single one. They’re a must have if you want some seriously good nail art.
Remember when you first got started? If I knew all the techniques that I know now I would have saved myself time and money. Wah London thought of everything, not only did they include a great set of tools- they even included a sheet that tells you how to use each tool. If only I bought this when I first started off. The kit has a nail file, buffer, curved scissors, cuticle pusher and a nail corrector. It also comes with two pots of gems.
If you’re like me and you are debating on getting this kit then stop debating and go and get it now! You can get it from selected retailers such as www.boots.com, its only £10 at the moment so get it while it’s cheap!
