Do you have alternate Cody designs? Your work and designs are amazing
If this is in reference to the redesigns I’ve posted recently, I have… a couple ideas…

Jokes aside, I don’t often let people peer behind-the-curtain so to speak, but I am a little stumped here, so some feedback on these designs would be appreciated. These aren’t 100% finished, nor are they all the designs I wanna make for him, but they do cover a few of the important bases.

Also, small design rant under the cut.
Lots of people base their impression of redesigns based on how “good looking” they are.
But the thing about Cody is that he’s not supposed to be fashionable or cool or trendy or whatever, nor is he meant to be conventionally attractive.
He can try to be “on fleek”, but he’ll always end up looking like a geek.
So I want to strike the right balance, of making him look kinda facepalm-worthy in a way that still looks appealing as a character design. Endearing.
Also, trying to mix his attempts to look cool with his softer demeanour, and putting a splash of alternative influence on his otherwise preppy look results in a mishmash of confusing impressions to his peers.
But that’s exactly what it becomes to the audience as well - a mishmash of confusing impressions. And I’m not sure how much of that I want.
TLDR I dunno what to do with his outfit.
The changes to his proportions though, I’m happy with.
