He seemed awfully short to be a trooper. Somehow, this thought seemed familiar, like a line out of a movie, but she brushed it off.
Elena was in a bit of mood. Not a bad mood, per-say, but it certainly wasn’t happy. She’d been in Midgar a little over seven months, and she thought she was over the Academy life, but ever once in a while she got nostalgic for…what could have been.
If she had been a boy, she would have admitted her in a heartbeat. But she wasn’t, and she couldn’t blame them for not taking girls as it would be a logistics nightmare.
Still, if this skinny, fluffy headed kid managed to make it onto the bottom rung, why didn’t she?
"No, not really." She was about to turn away, but what came out of her mouth next was something like a morbid curiosity.
"How’s duties today, trooper? Progressing in training?" It was uncharacteristically friendly to make this sort of conversation with someone affiliated with ShinRa, since she’d run into those godawful Turks a bit, she’d soured on the entire company. Well more sour than she had already been.
[♦] She seemed to have some sort of aura of hostility around her. If it was even that. Just, something that wasn't gentle or happy. He hastily shuffled about, to his feet to try to be prim and proper like a good guard.
[♦] Not that it worked all that well. He would up losing his balance from the sudden rush to his head and stumbling forward for a moment before finally standing upright.
[♦] Of course he wasn't wearing his helmet, it was something he often forgot about unless a higher up scolded him for it. Part of him wondered how he made it past training at all.
[♦] The question almost caught him off guard. Almost. It was something a lot of people asked him, especially with his clumsy demeanor. He could only chuckle, before responding happily;
"Actually I'm done training. I'm just, an infantryman on watch duty now, just to make sure no one goes in and disturbs Sephiroth or Angeal. You know what it's like, right? SOLDIER members are supposedly special people."
