Tanaka: So we haven't hung out recently, have we?
Taguchi: I do invite you, asking "I'm going out, wanna come?" But you never show up. Only after everything is over, I get a "Sorry, I didn't see it", even though you always play around with your phone!
Tanaka: I can't look at it when I'm no my bike. But it's true, now it's been three times in a row I couldn't go.
Taguchi: It's alright, it's the same every time. And since this year started, we also rarely talked. Only as much as when we were discussing your concerts. We only exchanged mails, if we were a married couple, we would pretty much have grown cold!
Tanaka: Don't say something bluntly like that (laughs). But yeah, lately we haven't went for our common hobby, survival games. When we went the most, it was once per week!
Taguchi: Our survival game-passion really has cooled down. Koki is now all into his bike and I'm on my own. I don't have a licence for bikes.
Tanaka: You don't seem to be interested in it, are you?
Taguchi: On a bike, you can't talk. If I had to ride something, a boat would be nice. I wanna go on a cruise!
Tanaka: I became a member of a place where you can rent boat, so let's go!
Tanaka: Let's go catch sea berth. I once rented a boat and went with a friend, and it was super fun. With us having the second grade of the boating licence, we could enjoy the fishing.
Taguchi: I also should go practising driving a boat. I've completely forgotten how to drive.
Tanaka: Trim by bow, trim by stern...
Taguchi: What does that mean.
Tanaka: Boating terms. I also don't remember anything else after those two apart from "even keel" (laughs).
Taguchi: Even though you read a lot of stuff (laughs).
Tanaka: If you remember those three, the boat will move! The boat we rented before had a capacity of 15 people and included a toilet and air-conditioning for about 20,000 Yen [about $250].
Taguchi: Renting them isn't that bad, but buying a boat costs a lot of money, I suppose. Tanaka: One boat is 10,000,000. [$126,000]
Taguchi: It's a hobby for rich people... Somehow, I now feel like eating ramen. I wanna eat some common food for a sense of relief.
Tanaka: Take me with you.
Taguchi: OK! Tonkotsu is alright, isn't it?
Tanaka: Since I've been with you countless times, we even know about each other's favourite food (laughs).
Taguchi: We definitely know about that! But I'm always surprised with how well you take care of others. How you close the distance to your kohai is really amazing, I think. I don't go to the dressing rooms of the kohai and such.
Taguchi: Yes! And you even go by yourself.
Tanaka: Well. It's difficult for the kohai to come to our dressing room, I guess. That's why I thought I should go instead.
Taguchi: Right! Me, I can't make conversation.
Tanaka: First off, I ask "What kind of girl is your type?" and get closer talking about girls. That's pretty much the sort of thing the guys in puberty think about (laughs).
Taguchi: Well, I... am not really interested in the love stuff of children.
Tanaka: It's not like I am! (laughs) But when you do a stage play together, and you're together for a long time, there's a troupe-like feelings between you and your fellow actors. And with that, if it gets a little bit deeper, it's easier to act together.
Taguchi: Ah, is that so?
Tanaka: And after that I got involved and stuff.
Taguchi: Fujigaya (Taisuke) and Nikaido (Takashi) are both really fond of you, right.
Tanaka: Not just fond, they love me. I often get asked by the two to go out to eat, they want to discuss something.
Taguchi: Eh, what kind of things? About love?
Tanaka: I said I'm not interested in love stuff of the kohai, right (laughs). It's of course all about work.
Taguchi: Huh, so the kohai worry about things too, certainly.
Tanaka: Nikaido is cute. Before, bringing him home after having eaten, his parents came to greet me and invited me in for coffee. His mother told me, "Koki-kun, please listen. My kid, he doesn't listen to what I say." Then Nikaido said to his mother "Don't say something like that!", so I immediately replied "If Takashi-kun isn't listening to you, please give me a call."
Taguchi: Hahaha! It's like a teacher with his student.
Tanaka: If I left him on his own, he would keep being hopeless.
Taguchi: You're completely like the teacher (laughs). I'm more of the non-intervention type of only responding when being asked.
Tanaka: That's right, the one thing you said to Miyata (Toshiya) apparently changed him.
Taguchi: What is this about?
Tanaka: What was it again? Miyata sadi it, but I forgot (laughs). And not just Miyata, (Okamoto) Kento also seems to adore you. Even without going to them yourself, you have kohai following you.
Taguchi: Even though I'm just being all random...
Tanaka: But there's still something that attracts them.
Taguchi: I only heard this by chance, but you gave your kohai your own accessories, right? Saying, "I can buy accessories with money, but I cannot buy the bond with you"...
Tanaka: Hey hey, I did give them accessories, but never said such a thing (laughs).
Taguchi: And then you finished with the words "Do your best today too." (laughs) When I heard this story, I again thought that Koki is amazing. So please give something to me too!
Tanaka: I never said this, and you're also not a kohai!
Taguchi: .... (grinning).
Tanaka: Speaking about kohai, did you know that Yamada (Ryosuke) is a really good kohai? He sees me as his "aniki" [older brother] and when we go out to eat, he always sees me off until the taxi is out of sight. And the moment it's gone, he writes a mail "Thank you for today. Thank you for the food. I want to talk some more with aniki".
Taguchi: Uah, really? Yamada's reputation is rising.
Tanaka: It's really cute. If I did the same towards a senpai, it would be different, but it works for him. ...That just reminded me of something, I didn't reply to a mail from Higashiyama (Noriyuki)-san
Taguchi: A Dai-senpai! (starts to fiddle with his phone)
Tanaka: Ah, there's a mail. What, it's from Taguchi? Hmmm.... "Please give me something?" That is totally not cute at all!
Taguchi: Hahaha, so it's hopeless after all (laughs).
