Hey so what's up with this thing I've encountered multiple times now with furry artists (I can't really speak for art outside that sphere) where an artist will spend years drawing girls with dicks and tagging them as intersex, dickgirl, or any number of slurs, or they'll have cis women who are given dicks by some means or another, but the first and sometimes exclusive time the artist references transness in any capacity is when they make or draw a transmasc character? Bonus points if these transmasc characters get to have contexts exploring themes of gender, identity, transness, self-worth, their relationship to their own bodies, etc but the women are just women with dicks, devoid of any context outside of porn, or divorced from the context of transness.
Of course I think it's good when artists are willing to include transness in their art. Obligatory "I can't tell anyone what they are or aren't allowed to do or dictate what they should make". I'm definitely not looking to impose some kind of diversity checklist on what people do in their free time. I'm just some bitch on the internet. But this specific behavior I've seen always sets me on edge. The contrast in the way the different characters are treated, included, or excluded makes it feel transmisogynistic whether it's intentional or not.
