L I N E S ) vs. ( C U R V E I let my hands fall on the paper, wrist slightly bent and fingers loosely wrapped around the body of the mechanical pencil. My voice is channelled through my skills, my strengths and weaknesses. Each line graphed the insecurities, beauty, pride, sorrows and tribulations... When I drew this, this was a stand. Against all the silly magazines and all the ignorant figureheads that glorified unhealthy/unrealistic appearances with enhancement of technology and surgeries. This was my note to me. This was just to say, Snap out of it... Just because you are not built that way does not mean you are not beautiful. Draw your body and love the curves. love the lines. love all the details that you feel is ugly, amazing and odd... love it all, because you need to love you. This is the day I realised... The female form is beautiful. Lumps, Bumps, Scars and stretches - Big breasts and small, Petite frames and broad - When the line vs. curve, no one lost. We all came out victorious.
