Random color sketch that I ended up liking. I forget how much fun wings are to do sometimes
A warmup sketch turned into a much longer piece. I was playing with the idea of Melina realizing she was (sort of) corporeal in Farum Azula, from @99corentine's Summit. Here's hoping Tumblr doesn't evaporate the details. I forewent attempting her hand scars because ehhh they're barely noticeable in the game anyway.
And here's the base sketch, though there's not much to it.
If I get a chance to draw glowy legs, I'm probably going to try drawing glowy legs. So when the leg prosthesis summon got pulled out in @99corentine's Summit, I wanted to render it.
As a side note, I must say I am really glad Bernahl is not a problem anymore because boy howdy was his dumb pierogi armor difficult. Lots of squiggles pretending to be detail. A few closeups of Haydn/the leggies because I'm sure Tumblr will eat the quality.
And the base line art for fun
Bunch of random accumulated sketches from the past week or so. I have a strong tendency to only want to draw when I have something very specific in mind, so I've been trying to force myself to actually sketch more.
He's really distracted, okay?
Quick humorous sketches of the argument from @99corentine's Summit, which is considerably more dramatic and emotional than represented here.
āYouāll forgive the staging,ā he calls down to Haydn. Despite said distance his whispering voice may as well be next to Haydnās ear, sending a prickle up his nape. āOne never knows how a tarnished will react to bad news. Iād rather not be in hitting distance.ā
Scenes from chapter one of Second. I wanted to draw Mohg! His proportions are probably a bit off for the statue but I thought it looked cool.
Close ups for when Tumblr inevitably eats the quality:
Just wanted to doodle something sunny
Couldn't leave the thought alone of a butterfly for the Veiled Monarch after the last piece. So Morgott gets a butterfly now, I guess.
I've been enamored with the idea of trying to draw the divine tower scene from @99corentine's Secret... pretty much since I read it. Dithered around for a while because Architecture(tm) is intimidating and not at all my strong suit.
Finally got up the gumption to give it a try! There's actually no line sketch to post because I didn't make one this time. Just blocked out things with color as I went. Doing the lighting and rendering all the little floaty glowy bits and the translucent veils were the most fun :D
oh my GOODNESS :O :O This looks phenomenal, you got the atmosphere for that scene absolutely dead-on to what was in my head... which is a trend with your art, I've noticed! We must have the same mind's eye. I was also just thinking about this scene the other day and whether I could capture it in a drawing (suffice to say, nowhere near as well as you can).
I love the light, and glitter, the little flowers and the silhouette of Morgott seen through the veils... and ofc Haydn in his silly armour and his little heels š But weirdly I think my favourite part is the long shadow behind Morgott, somehow it adds so much. I've also been squinting at it and I don't think you set out to make it Margit-shaped but it kind does look like it is.
Phenomenal work as always!
My pleasure :) I didnāt intentionally make the shadow look like Margit but I did notice that if you squint it kinda looks like him. Iād have leaned into it more if Iād had more pixel space to work with (note to self: start with a bigger canvas).
I would credit visual accuracy to the precision of your descriptors more than anything else! Took the idea of āetherealā and ran with it, and flowing cloth/hair are things I really enjoy drawing, too.

Edit: re-uploaded because I noticed some errors haha >_>
Character sheet thingy of my dumb tarnished Haydn, and the long-suffering object of his affections. Zoom in for details! Assuming tumblr deosn't eat the quality.
Inspired in part by all the lovely art I've received recently, but especially @namamumumu's prosthesis design and @faustiancatboy's drawing which added little heels. I've tried to combine the designs with simplified Hoslow's, his in-game armour. I'm about as consistent with it as I am with Morgott's horns, though.
Bonus of my fav panel:
Did a few color sketches as I haven't picked up the tablet for about a month. Obligatory tagging of @99corentine because... apparently I can't not.
Quick and rough sketches of part of the (extremely entertaining) argument between Morgott and Haydn from @99corentine's Shiver. I'm not great at composing panels, but I really wanted to do the helmet drop.
Playing with glowy effects, reflections
more lighting practice!
Just trying to remember how to do mountains
Doing some practice with heads at different angles
