I've been using Finn as a male name but I'm thinking of changing it to Finlay (Or a variation on that spelling) or Finnegan. Any other ideas? I'd like to keep it close to the original but still have some flair.

hi :-) im transmasculine and my birthname is Isabella. Ive been going by Izzy sense i was in 3rd grade and i like it because im used to it. Recently ive become fond of the name Isaiah, how does Isaiah Power sound? Any tips for a middle name?

I think Isaiah Power is an awesome name! It’s a strong name, and they mesh well. You chose a really good one, and Izzy definitely fits as a nickname for Isaiah!

As for a middle name, it depends. You want it to work with Isaiah and Power. Once you find a name you like, say it out loud to yourself. Practice writing your full name, initials, and different combinations therein. It’s important that you like the way it goes together.

Some things to think about: What’re things you like? Who/What inspired you as a child/at this moment? Is there a name you’ve always liked the sound of? Do you prefer something formal, or something a bit less wordy? Is there a particular culture from your heritage that you’d like to draw from? Remember, this goes on all government documents, so it should be something you won’t be embarrassed by should you choose to change your name legally. However, you don’t hear it daily, so it can be something more fun, if you so wish.

(Not to say fun names are bad, but make sure it’s something you won’t be embarrassed by as you get older, especially if you legally change it)

So my birth name is Ellen and I kinda really hate it. I wanted to change it to Elliot but I don't know if it works with my full name... My full name would be Elliot Marie Sherin. Does that work?
