His focus was elsewhere for a moment, mostly because her dress was somewhat see through in certain areas, and it undoubtably hugged her petite figure, it was hard for him not to pay close attention. “Would I ever!” His mouth flew open with surprise– his eyes widened before his signature smirk replaced the bewildered expression. As her arm extended, her hand delicately ontop of his own, he gently clutched his fingers around her own before leading her the small distance to the dance floor. Resting one palm on the lower of her back, he slipped his hand softly up her arm before linking their fingers together and pulling her body towards his own. “Try to keep up, Kitten.” He breathed in a whisper as he swayed for a moment, the moves were all flowing back to him– no one would know he was incredibly rusty, not that anyone really knew he could dance anyway, but he wasn’t concerned what other people thought in that moment.
Relaxing his arm he lifted it far enough to spin her around and out away from him before leading her back to him, so they were inches apart. He took the opportunity to surprise her by guiding her back with his arm supporting her frame and led her back up to meet his face once more. He didn’t say anything for a while, just swayed to the music as he maintained his composure.
Naomi had always loved dancing, as a girl her mother had forced her into ballet because all good ladies knew how to dance. In truth Naomi had loved it but out of spite she dropped it as soon as she could. There were things she remembered, things that kept her light on her feet even when Beau surprised her with his adept skill. Naomi crept on the tips of her toes as he spun her, her head tossed back to take in the view of the massive room spinning round and round in a haze of colour and lights that mixed together into something dazzling and dizzying. Her red hair fanning as she spin only to be pulled back close to Beau. A sigh passing her lips moments before a wry smile took its place. "I didn't know you could dance." She didn't really know much of anything about him if she were being honest. All these years growing up in the same town and he was a passing face in a crowd that she'd never been this close to. Naomi swayed as he did, her eyes searching the room. "I never thought I'd be here." Her eyes found his, "I mean back here in Rockford. I swore to everything I would die before coming back." Naomi scoffed a quiet laugh, sometimes coming home hurt. Adjusting her hold over his shoulder Naomi exhaled. "At least it's not all bad."
