“Chocolate? Oh, I think I can do that.” They pulled out some ghost chocolate from their ghost pocket and handed it to the creature. Napstablook forgetting for the moment that the other would just phase through the ghost chocolate.

“What’s Valentines day?”
No compliments? Why not?! Were they that shy? Or self conscious? Kimber eagerly grabbed for that little ghost hand, but frowned a little when her hand phased right through. She thought that might happen anyway, and her smile soon returned. “Even your name is cute!” Napstablook, she tried to pronounce it as she absently wondered if she should invest in ghost print pjs? Yes. The answer was yes, she did need to invested in a new pajama set as she had been stripped of hers from back home.
“We should stick together. Two daring friends caught in a whirlwind adventure!” She gasped audiably and tried grasping their tiny hands. “Lets be friends!”
Friends? Oh, this was very unexpected. Oh, they would probably just be an inconvenience to her. Oh. They withdrew their hand as it sank back into their ghost body. She seemed to be rather happy, very cheerful indeed. They wouldn’t be able to keep that happiness around.
“We could... stick together if that’s what you want... I won’t take up much space... um... if you want to be friends... that’s fine to... but you might regret it later.” It’s better to warn her first of all.

“Ugh! No, no, no!! It’s too early for this!” That thing was a ghost, no way in hell she is about to be eaten or killed soon as she arrived god knows where! Grabbing her phone and showing the screen, Airi stayed on a defensive pose. “I’ll kick your ass if you get any centimeter closer, you hear me?!”
Oh no. They clearly made this girl distressed. By wondering around the streets, this is not at all what they expected to happen. Oh no. “If you want to kick my butt... I won’t stop you... but that might be impossible because I’m a ghost and all... sorry about that... I could still pretend I’m getting my butt kicked”
“Oh~!” Kimber wasn’t sure what she had expected, but certainly not such a tiny, hesitant voice. “You’re so cuuuute.” She whispered, not wanting to upset them, if only one could hug a ghosty, she certainly would. To this one. Because other ghosts might be scary.
“Hey, you don’t have to apologize, it’s ok. I’m new here too.” She held out her hand out of habit. “I’m Kimber.”
She seemed to have cheered up a bit, at least they hoped she had. The compliments only made the monster feel a bit more nervous then they already where, “I’m not worth... compliments...” they said in a small voice hoping to brush it off as nothing.
“So you’re as lost in this place as I am... Well... I’m sure you could find your way around.” Holding out their own hand they tried reaching out for the others, but being as they are, well, a ghost, they could only fake shake her hand. “I’m Napstablook.”
Wait, what was that? Is that… An actual ghost? Kimber froze, what does one do when confronted by ghosts? Should she scream? Run away and never look back? Oh no… The little ghost looked sad… “Uh… Hello?”
Kimber cleared her throat. “Um… What… Happened?”

This time, the person in front of them looked a bit scared. Oh no, did they upset this person already? Oh no. They should just vanish like how ghosts do. Oh, the person spoke. In a small voice, while trying to be as polite as possible they replied.
“Hello... oh, did something happen? I’m new here so I don’t know what happens here... sorry...”

A ghost? Here? Another one of those damnable souls who found their way back? What did it take to keep someone dead? If this city was to be filled with countless damned souls, then why should Maxwell be bothered by them now?
“Accursed soul, why do you haunt me now! Has death not been a sweet enough embrace for you to stay dead? Or did you decide that you would rather persist to mock me in such a way?”
Oh, someone noticed them. Oh, the person seemed rather distressed. Oh no. Accursed soul? Haunting? Death... sweet? What was this person talking about? The ghost was, a bit confused. They themselves have never experienced this death that others talk about.
“Oh... I don’t think I’m here to mock you, or haunt you even. Unless, that’s what you’d want? Oh dear, I don’t think I could do well at haunting. I heard that’s a scary thing... oh...”
