12th project : bartering farm

Who could have expected a bartering farm after a gold farm. Truly shocking. When doing this I had to chose between 2 old designs I just had laying around, so obviously I made a 3rd one. At least it is pretty good at trades 5 times per second. What else is there to say.

Actually there is something else to say : I now have a respectable amount of farms. I feel like most basic needs are now covered and I can start building :D I think I will start by covering my base (storage, iron farm, moss farm, shulker farm, bamboo farm and resin farm) to hide the mess a little

11th project : gold farm

This one took a while. I actually completely desined it mysef, using spear-wielding zombies. I saw the tech on one of Dom77's episodes. It took me like 6 days to design because I struggled to make a killing chamber that could handle a high rate of mobs without craming. I'm quite happy with it in the end as it uses only one player to use. My previous designs used carpet bots to function.

The nether side is your average y0 portal spam. You can find the design for it in one of NicoIsLost's videos on youtube. I can't remember if that's where I got the design from or if I figured it out independently but whatever.

Kinda boring. It did take a while to break a whole chunk worth of bedrock but it wasn't too bad since I used lag to do it instead of the typical tnt setup.

Now the overworld side :

Just like all my farms at the moment it is quite ugly but I will do something about it. You may also notice the high render distance, I started using voxy.

Also I build a moss farm and a shulker farm but I didn't design them so I didn't feel like it was worth making a post about them. The moss farm is the Chromoss one and the the shulker farm is the one presented on "The Archivists" Youtube channel (https://youtu.be/s7JZWGcnHYA?si=9s9AVzzMhMdKSn3T).

Forgot to mention it makes 1500 blocks per hour. Not too bad, if I need more I can just mine another chunk in the nether but for now it will do. Realistically I will never change it, it's more than enough.

10th project : witch farm

Another ugly farm in my world ! I swear I will start decorating them at some point. I still want to build a shulker farm, gold farm and bartering thing before that.

This farm is a double witch hut farm. I picked the seed partially because it had these two huts next to one another. I actually never did a witch farm before as far as I can remember, it was fun to design. Had to manually mine redstone one last time, happy that's over.

I still wanted to use looting so it looks a little bit silly with the bridge. It does have good potential for decoration, like a massive bridge or something. Also we can see the horrible looking slime farm in the background, gonna have to do something about that too...

Forgot to mention in the last post but I also build a small cobble farm and wax farm for the storage. Since I just used old designs instead of doing anything new it kinda slipped my mind.

9th project : storage system

Finally ! It has been done ! This project took forever for many reasons. Firstly, I kept getting distracted. Secondly, I kinda improvised the sorting categories in survival which is an absolutely horrible idea. Never do that. Lastly, I had to build it twice because I tried to improvise the structure too after very little testing in creative, and it ended up failing.

The building process was to first watch CubicMeter's video on golem based sorting (https://youtu.be/1pHXCvc0j-I?si=-sgDJ3G6hcsFqaeO). The video is actually great and explains many aspects of copper golems. Then I waited 2 month and decided that I probably remember enough and don't need to watch it again. I then proceded to try to make a design from what I remembered and failed masterfully. I ended up having to redo the whole thing after watching the video a second time.

Also decided that I would sort everything I own as its first job. It actually worked but I wouldn't recommend it. Pictures of the thing below. It is litteraly just cubic's design, explained it his video.

You may notice an empty pen. I used to have sheep, before learning against my will that wolves could get in.

My next projet will most likely be a redstone farm because I litteraly had to go mine some to finish the build which is absolutely unacceptable. Who even mines in this game

8th project : resin farm

The current objective is still a storage system, I ust keep getting distracted. I needed some resin to set up the filters and figured making a farm would be easier than trying to get it without. I obviously ended up spending way too much time designing/building it but hey at least I have a resin farm now :D

Built it underground bc the tree people can spawn quite far from their heart. It makes 220 blocks of resin per night (~2k resin) which is way more than I will ever use since I have no plans to use resin. Why did I do this

7th project : bamboo farm

It could have taken me like 30 minutes to build but I decided to build it underground and improvised the design in survival so it endedup taking me multiple hours.

It works just fine and will hopefully produce more than enough wood for my future projets. Pics below

6th project : slime farm

I made myself a little slime farm in a swamp. It should produce a decent amount and was quite easy to build. The Wi-Fi works and I can toggle the mob switch from the swamp which is cool. Next step will be bamboo farm for infinite wood. Also yes I built this completly out of wood even tho the reason I'm doing all of this is precisely because I need wood. Whatever.

5th project : Wi-Fi

Yeah I got sidetracked. By Wi-Fi I mean a wireless communication device. As I said my next project was a storage system so it's maybe unepected to make that. The reason I made this is that I needed wood for chests. Obvious way to get wood : wifi to toggle on and off mob switch at a distance -> easily usable slime farm in a swamp a few thousands block away -> flying machine based bamboo farm. Also I really wanted to do it and this was a good enough excuse.

Still decided to make my own design to get a better understanding of the concept of wireless stuff using lodestones/copper golems.

Bellow is my design + the survival build.

6x6x1 design, 1-wide stackable. Access is from the left. To use, destroy and quickly place back the lodestone this device is linked to.

There is a shelf behind the golem. The dispenser contains lodestone compasses assigned to a lodestone. Copper chest is empty. Copper golem is holding an assigned lodestone compass. The contents of the chests is :

and this lodestone compass is unassigned. You get back used lodestone compasses in the barrel.

I like this design but it is highly suspicious that I managed to make is smaller than @DanCraftHero considering they've been improving their design for 3 month. I will update this if it turns out I forgot an edge case or something.

Also side note but wandering traders are awesome for large biome. I can get trees and stuff without having to travel 10k blocks ? Idk why they are so underappreciated

4th project : ghast farm

I decided to make a ghast farm to get my gunpowder. First reason is it also gets me ghast tears which might be useful for later (like endstone farm or something silly involving the dragon). The second reason is that I have a mob switch in the overworld and I can't be bothered to turn it off every time. Spoiler : it's not that big a deal anyway thanks to a future project but whatever. As usual I did it in creative and remade it in survival.

The next big project is going to be making a simple storage system. As you will see from the next few posts I got incredibly sidetracked lol

Below is pic of the farm

It uses a billion rails, that's why I needed an iron farm first. Also yeah I got wither roses for this. I just bred a bunch of chicken at y=-60 ish and poisoned them. Actually I got the roses before the iron farm so there is a wither rose in the iron farm to kill golem faster.

Also yes I use activator rail to turn of the minecarts when they are idle. This is to prevent lag and is utterly useless and completely overkill but it makes me happy :)

3rd project : iron farm

After making the xp farm I got myself some elytras so my next project was a gunpowder farm but it needed a lot of iron so I ended up doing this first. I did this fully from memory and ended up making it too big but it works so it's fine :)

Happy ghasts made building this soooo much easier. I love them just for that. I also decided to not make a proper villager breeder out of laziness but just putting a comical amount of beds in a small area worked perfectly I highly recommend. This was the easiest iron farm to build I've ever done.

Btw I built it at the top of a little mountain where I had all my stuff and little farms, it's kinda where I live. I'll post more pictures of this place when I get more projects done here.

2nd project : enderman farm

I got a comical amount of resources from exploring caves with no mobs but I needed to enchant my stuff. Funily enough, it was my first time ever making an enderman farm. I always mined quartz for xp until I had a gold/guardian/fortress or other mob farm. I am so happy I did this instead it is so much easier. Once again I winged it in creative and redid it in survival from memory.

The nice thing about having Keep Inventory on is that I only really need to make 1 set of stuff since I will never lose it (probably). It means I don't really have to deal with villager for books other than mending which is awesome because I hate them.

First project : mob switch

I picked my seed specifically for this. I made sure there was a deep dark biome near the spawn to make a warden based mob switch. They are super easy to make now that we can chunk-load with pearls, and they make early game so much easier. I improvised this design in creative first to avoid mistakes and just redid it in survival. I managed to avoid dying to any warden in the process. Also got some nice pants.

Note : as of writing these first few posts I already have 40h so I'm just trying to remember the order in which I did things but it may not be super accurate

I will document here my minecraft survival world. I have 0 experience with posting on tumblr but it's fine I'll figure it out. I secretly hope that making a blog about this will make me more motivated to continue. I will try to tag things appropriately but I can't promise anything.
