why do we put ourselves through the pain

through the pain of suffering

pain of suffering inflicted upon us by people we know

there is this facade of a smile and underneath is our sadness

our sadness that we hide so well

that sometimes we too forget it's present

we forget the thorns that used to prick us when we were only looking at the beauty of little blue roses

but sometimes it all comes like a tsunami of emotions

we can't hide them that well

they come wave after waves and little by little they destroy us

little memories

little moments

little things done together with them

they seek us

they find us

they make us weak

all you can do sometimes is let go

we have to fulfil two obligations out of love

one to ourself

one to our partner

it is told that we have to find balance between both of them

although i have experienced that

sometimes it's a choice

between loving ourself and loving our partner

between caring for ourself and caring for partner

between choosing ourself and choosing our partner

sometimes we get so lost in our mind and heart that either we forget ourself or our partner

that's so sad right?

i want a love where i choose myself and my partner

because as i choose my partner; i will be choosing myself too

I crave his presence

but when something is not right with me
