It's the anniversary of Michael's death. I'm really going to try to make it a good day. I'm going to love on Santiago and Ventus, watch spider noir and Hokum with my brother and my fiance and watch Tokyo revengers with my brother.

Every other year, I felt like I've had my heart ripped out of my chest all over again. But this year, I want it to be different. Michael doesn't control my life anymore. And it's okay that we'll always have our past and that he'll always be in my heart. But I don't want to let it rule over me anymore.

I'm sober, I have amazing friends, I love my fiance, I love my cats, I can even have fun now. It's okay to change. I'm not letting anything go, I'm just not letting it dictate my emotions and everything in my life anymore.
