The modern pompadour. Undercut is out, pompadour is in! What's the difference anyway? I think undercut is more of a casual look unlike pompadour, it is more formal. Undercut's side is shaved while pompadour is slightly shorter and is usually slicked back.

Are you planning to buy a simple shirt? Well make sure it is a V-Neck Shirt.
Why? V-Neck shirt actually complement a guys body and it also makes the body more toned even though it isn't. But make sure when you're going to buy a v neck shirt, it wouldn't be a plunging neckline exposing most of your chest area. It is a big NO for me. Education goes "eenie meenie miney mo"
Education alone will not bring you to a successful future. Children need a quality education wherein they will be fed a lot of knowledge to be used in their future. Their young minds will be molded for them to know and be not only a good citizen but have a bright future ahead. In the case of America, only few were given opportunities to study in schools that provide quality education.
The documentary “Waiting for Superman” filmed by Davis Guggenheim talks about the public education in America. This documentary shows the public how education can affect a children’s future. The less fortunate don’t have any choice but to enroll their children in a public school which the quality of education is not present at all. There are only few public schools that provide quality education but not all aspiring students will be enrolled in these schools. The students will undergo the process of lottery in which luck is all you’ve got.
In comparison to the Philippine education, both of them are nearly the same but it is more serious in the case of the Philippines. Poverty deprive the children from going to school and huge population of students affects their performance in which they cannot concentrate in their studies because of lack in teachers, facilities, books etc are one of the major factors that will affect their future.

Dear Hon. Tolentino,
Public safety is considered to be one of your jurisdictions. Streets are always cluttered, full of public transportation, private vehicle, and people passing by. To ensure their safety MMDA provide different kinds of projects in order to keep the roads safety for people. You also have a huge number of enforcers to make sure that there is order on the roads.
The Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) tallied 11,414 road accidents on the year of 2011 from January to September. As a result, 1,074 souls were taken away because of bad over taking and over speeding alone. What do you expect when we add other cases of accidents such as drunk driving and broken facilities such as broken traffic lights, bumpy roads etc.? Improving facilities alone will not solve the problem because of the enforcers who is not serious in their job, just slacking and seeking money to the offenders.
I write this letter to inform you that there’s a lot of case of enforcers who is “kotong”. The traffic enforcers must undergo training before getting the job. Those kinds of enforcers are a bad image for the Philippines especially when foreigner experiences it firsthand.
You expect people on the roads to be well aware of the laws that are being implemented but the enforcers themselves don’t even know how to follow. Starting to make solutions to these problems today will make the roads in the Philippines to be safe. It may not be safe at all the time since we can’t avoid accidents but just lowering the number of accidents on the roads is an achievement.
I’m hoping that you will take action to these problems.

MTV – Like a Prayer- Madonna
The music videos consist of racial and religious matter. It becomes intriguing since race and religion becomes a part of the video that may offend the public. The video shows that Madonna had witness a crime and she run inside the church to seek protection. He met there a black guy who depicts some kind of saint or God. Madonna is praying to the black guy for his protection and help because of the crime that she witnessed. The black guy went out of the church and tries to help the victim. The police reached the crime scene where the innocent black guy is beside the victim. The black guy was imprisoned because he was caught in the act beside the victim. There is no proper legal justice for the black guy to prove himself to be innocent. The policemen imprisoned him because of his race.
"United Colors of Benetton"
There are two child in the picture in different race; black and white. The child hugs each other showing that their race is equal and there must not be any discrimination in races. The picture aims to show the public that race is not the based whether you are inferior or superior. But analyzing the picture not just only in a literal way there are still a racial discrimination in it. The white child portrays to be an angel just like cupid, having this big bright smile. Unlike the black kid having a hairstyle like a horn which gives meaning that blacks are bad. The picture shows that the whites who are good still accept the blacks even if they’re bad. These are just my opinions about the picture. I don’t have any intentions to discriminate anyone.

What’s new? The most asked question when some trends are booming. People keep on following what’s in and is always in track for what is trending. A simple product like coffee becomes a status symbol of the people during the 16th Century or most commonly known the Victorian era. But having a simple coffee will not define that you do belong in a higher class of people. You need to experience what café life is in expensive coffee shops and café in Paris.
When coffee was founded, that’s when the café’s appeared in Paris, France, a place where luxurious people lives. Coffee became their status symbol as long as the coffee came from cafés that is expensive serving high class people. Only the rich people can go and experience the café life. Coffee contributed not only the status of the person but the countries status as well, France. Café layouts are luxurious, expensive, and classy. That defines what France as a country is by culture which is very luxurious, expensive and classy.
Indeed a simple product can give a status to a person and even in a whole country. Coffee’s contribution to France is remarkable giving it a name that will be written in history. No doubt people keep on following the trends because most of them want to be in a status they wanted to be.

As we continue to live in this world, people invent different kinds of things to make life easier and faster. Technologies helping people to finish their task faster and services that is very fast. For example, a computer makes life faster and a fast food chain serving food less than twenty minutes. Our lives now are in fast phase.
Speed dating is meeting different kinds of people and asking them a questions that is not too private in just a minute. If you find someone that you like, just mark you list and if he/she likes you too, both of you will spend a real date and get to know each other. Who knows, maybe he/she will be your soul mate. This becomes a way for people to become socially active. There are no pressure because there are no too personal questions to be asked unlike the conventional one. Some of the participants are desperate of finding a lover that’s why they joined and some of them joined because it’s new and want to try it out. Not all the time speed dating will succeed, it is just like any kind of date. Most speed dating services says that there are at least fifty percent (50%) success rate for the participants. I look to it that there are no problems not to join speed dating events. It will help you in your social life, get to know different kinds of people and just have fun.
You may be looking for a serious relationship or just have a fun meeting person, that’s fine. Enjoy your life and experience something new like joining a speed dating.
FM Radio Nowadays Stands for “For the Mass”
Listening to your favorite artist or songs in the radio is more exciting rather than playing it with your iPods, mp3’s, computers, and other gadgets. Indeed, it is very different when you hear you favorite artist singing your favorite songs in the radio. FM radio is more on playing different kinds of music. It should consist of ninety percent music ten percent chatting and commercial breaks. But today, FM radios changes so much.
From being a music industry, it becomes a drama institution. The “masa” tune in to these programs to hear variety of stories. Most of the stories are about love and relationships. The caller ask an advice to the dj on air, I repeat, on air meaning all of the listeners that is tuned in will hear their conversations. There are some stories that are no need to be publicized including one of the caller that says that he got a tattoo in his penis which read “I’m Gay”. The radio’s keep on airing this kind of stories that is nonsense and very private. Radio stations say that they need to follow the masa format so that their station will not get left behind. The masa looks for something else rather than listening to songs. But not all people are patrons of these stations. This can be the division of the lower class people to the higher class.
Someone should speak up and draw the line and tell the boundaries of a radio stations. The genre of radio changes as time goes by. Maybe they are doing this to make sure the survival of radios. Different kinds of gadgets are coming out of the public beating radios. If that’s the case, they should really do something to revive the radios, but you cannot please all the people. Everyone has their own taste in life. Like what I have said, you cannot please all of them.

ENTRY #1 "A Culture that can't be killed"
Do you guys know this place? I hope so, because this is a part of the history of the Philippines. In specific this is where the Philippines started to become industrialized, this is Tutuban.
Tutuban was a place where farmers planted and made “tuba”, an alcoholic drink of the natives which is made from coconuts. This place was where our hero Andres Bonifacio founder of the “Katipunan” lived. His house was demolished with other people’s houses to make way to the construction of the Tutuban Terminal. It was train terminal back then not a shopping mall. The railway was the main transportation during those days. As time went by, it was destroyed because of the war that happened. It was renovated and then turned into a commercial establishment consisting of several stalls where people can buy varieties of items at the very low prices. Tutuban is very near and adjacent to a more popular shoppers’ paradise known as “Divisoria”.Up to now, Tutuban Mall is found at Claro M. Recto near Divisoria and can be seen the statue of Andres Bonifacio.
This is the place where another culture of the Filipino people flourished. Filipinos are known to be “madiskarte” and “matipid”. Madiskarte means being street smart, always looking for something that will surely benefit and help them in the easiest way as possible. For example, instead of going to malls where they will buy a product that will just be used for one time only, they will go to Tutuban Mall where products are very cheap. Matipid means being thrifty, always saving money that will be later used for more important things. Tutuban mall is the place where practical and smart Filipinos go to save money.
This is two cultures that make the Philippines differ from other countries. It will surely help us to be more competitive from other countries. We can see that from a train terminal to a commercial establishment, Philippines evolve that much. But being a street smart and a thrifty person is something that cannot be change even when time flies.
