I love when I come back on Tumblr for a visit and I see people are still following my blog and Iâm still getting notes on the daily even though I never get on anymore, thanks guys ^.^
My favorite part of the Narnia series is noticing similarities in the stories to the Bible that are so subtle that I donât catch until later one when Iâm not thinking about it.
The Magicianâs Nephew begins with two children, a boy and a girl (Adam and Eve if you think about it), meeting and having innocent adventures together. Later, Polly throws caution to the wind and takes the ring from Uncle Andrew even though common sense speaks against it; this is similar to when Eve took the Forbidden Fruit (not an apple, just a vague fruit) even though she was not only specifically told by God not to eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil but her common sense would have been screaming at her to not be tempted by some weird talking snake (who is seen as Uncle Andrew in the Narnia book). Digory follows after Polly just as Adam ate from the Fruit after Eve. But I think the clearest parallel happens later on towards the end of the Narnia book when Digory grabs from an apple from a tree that heâs instructed to do so by Aslan. Jadis comes in and tries to tempt him to take an extra apple to heal his mother with, but unlike Eve, heâs not tempted. I see that one as being a deliberate grab from the Bible but I think the reason why Digory doesnât grab an extra apple isnât because of sexism but because itâs supposed to represent maturity and Digoryâs character development, because he would have grabbed the extra apple earlier on in the book.
The creation of of Narnia by Aslan is the most obvious parallel with Aslanâs singing creating Narnia being just like Godâs speaking creating Earth.
So Charn is a pretty destroyed city and I was reading the Charn Wikipedia page for some connection to the book of Genesis and this quote
the city stands as an example of the dead end that can result if a civilization succumbs to evil
really caught my attention because thatâs basically what the pre-Flood world was. Before the Flood that God sends out, the world is corrupted by the sin that Adam and Eve and their descendants brought to Earth. Charn is so corrupted by evil that Jadis basically killed everyone else besides herself, only sheâs left in her world and if that doesnât represent the corruption that sin leads to, then I donât know what does.
The world that the kids and Jadis later fall into after Jadisâs entrance into England is yet-to-be-created and that definitely parallels the post-Flood Earth that Noah and his family end up being left on. Digory and Polly basically represent Noahâs family being humanityâs new start on Earth with Frank and Helen being Abraham (one of Noahâs descendants) as Abraham was told to leave Canaan for prosperity and such. I mean, I understand that the creation of Narnia is the creation of Earth but itâs also the âpurificationâ of Earth through the use of the Flood.
Those are just the big similarities that I can think of between just the chronologically first book of the series and the first book of the Bible. The events in the book arenât in the same order as the events in Genesis but they are pretty much the same. I know that Lewis didnât intend to make the series an allegory but I guess the Bible was just so ingrained into his head that he ended up accidentally creating an allegory. Itâs pretty cool finding these similarities in just the one book and I feel like if anyone tried hard enough they would find lots of parallels between the rest of the Narnia books and the Bible.
I don't know if you'll ever read this, but have fun! I'm considering taking a small hiatus at some point just because I'm kind of addicted to tumblr đ I want time away from it to read and write and focus on my interests. So what I'm wanting soon is on a much less extreme scale than what you're doing, but I'm sure you'll have plenty of room to do what you'd like now, if you were in a somewhat similar situation as me. đ I'll miss you and I wish there was a way to keep contact, but for now, byeâ€ïž
Itâs so hard to get away from electronics these days, even though I left Tumblr I still struggle with being addicted to other social medias. I guess this was a long time ago so I hope you had fun/will have fun on your break and got a lot done. ^u^Â
A -very-very- complex plushie I completed recently!!  He took nearly two  and a half weeks alone! @_@ It started with me wanting to tint his armor vest green (I couldnât find an appropriate fabric~ xD; ) and sewing the lines into it⊠and ended with me learning a bunch of new techniques and stuff in the process!! Â
Heâs Prince Caspian from The Chronicles of Narnia~!
This was my first time crafting chain mail for a plushie. itâs removable too with a series of magnets!
This was also the first time I airbrushed a plushie! You can see his brown leather armor has a slight gradation on it. :D I canât wait to find more reasons to bust out the airbrush machine!!
It was a lot of fun to craft him even though he was so time consuming especially because I got to try a lot of new things!! <3
I hope you guys enjoy him as much as I liked making him!
WHAT DO WE WANT? a netflix series about the pevensies and narniaâs golden age. all the battles and brotherhood, celebrations and sorrow. filled with lucyâs laughter, edmundâs sarcasm, susanâs wisdom and peterâs bravery. preferably based on the wonderful fics by elecktrum because thatâs Canon right there.
WHEN DO WE WANT THEM? right now.
Yeah, seriously, @ netflix where is this donât we deserve it?
reblog and tag your Favorite Dead Characterâą.
*tags all of the Narnia characters*
Excuse you.

Iâve decided to quit Tumblr. There is so much bad language and overall bad things on here, I canât keep using it without feeling guilty.
1 Corinthians 3:16 says; âDo you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?â
In what I see, hear, and think I should be honoring God, and Tumblr isnât putting good images or thoughts into my head.
Iâm not trying to stop anyone from using Tumblr, itâs just itâs not right for me and what I believe.
Thanks for understanding. :)

OMG!! Okay I was the anon that sent the ask about the HP fandom. I sounded WAYYYY too rude on that, I'm so sorry. I don't mean to downgrade anyone on what they like or don't like. I think it's great that people like HP, but it just hasn't interested me. I'm so sorry!!!!
I donât think you sounded rude at all! You were just stating your opinion. :) Iâm sorry if I made it sound like I was reproving you or something. ;)Â
Yeah, Iâm permitted to read it and everything, it just doesnât really interest me either. Iâm more into classics and older books.Â
Not judging you for not reading or watching Harry Potter because I don't like it. I have read all the books and seen the movies but I don't like them at all. I'm actually kinda sick of HP on my dash 24/7 TBH. (Sorry!!)
Well Harry Potter isnât everybodyâs thing. Like Narnia isnât some other peopleâs thing. It depends on what you like. :)Â
To the Radiant Southern Sun, I give you Queen Susan the Gentle
The closest bookstore near me is having a party for the release of The Cursed Child and everyone is freaking out about it and either hates it or loves it and Iâm just sitting here like âNarnia anyone??âÂ
âCome on!â âYouâve got to be joking.â
