i feel bad for everyone who pays for their makeup
PSA TO THOSE WHO LIFT FROM BÄRNËS AND NÖBLËS!!!!
there are rfid tags INSIDE THE BINDING of certain books and journals!!! please be incredibly careful!!!!
A story about the only time I ever beeped
I was at freepe0ple, and concealed these clothes on the floor and then went to de-tag in the dressing room. I put the tags in my pocket with the intention of depositing them around the store before leaving. I forgot they were in my pocket and beeped when I left. No one looked at me or came after me. Like at all. The SAs were in the back part of the store and didn’t even come up front. This was at d!sney springs, so there were a ton of people shopping and lots of stores were constantly beeping. It was weird that no one came for me and not what I expected, considering the amount of lifting going on in that area.
I literally just walked back in, removed the tags from my pocket (so I wouldn’t beep at other stores), hid them in some random clothes, and left. 🤷
This was not a rookie mistake. I had probably lifted around $12k+ in items, at this point. The takeaway: always be alert and focused! Even experienced lifters can make mistakes if they aren’t paying attention.
this is the reason for my skyrocketing blood pressure when leaving a store
right I’m almost always internally shook
I seriously hold my breath and internally say the littlest prayer every time!
a collection of ironic things i have seen while shoplifting.
Anthr0 👚 Romper $128 Shorts $58 Hat $78
B3d b@th 🛀 Alli $63 Coconut water shampoo $3
Mich@els/jo@nn 🎨 Sewing kit $16 Rose gold scissors $28 Needles $10 Yarn x3 $15 (one skein not pictured) Elastic $3 Mod podge spray $12 Hollywood nipple covers X2 $30 String lights $30 Selfie stick $3
B@rns & n0ble 📚 Zeroes $13 Game of Thrones $10 Uglies $12 Pretties $12
Ult@ 💄 Naked palette x3 $150 Miss spa eye treatment x2 $14 Biore strips $8
Total $697
I wish I had kept up with my overall total. I have no idea how so much random stuff can be worth so much. I had to get a close up of the hat because it’s really cute. And I finally got my naked palettes! 🤗

so i’ve gone hauling a couple of times in the past few months and i’ve barely needed to bring my magnet to get clothes?? half the time i can just grip the plastic tag, yank it sideways to create a hole, and pull it through. which i shouldn’t be able to do since these are expensive clothes from like anthrôplogîe and ûrban ôutfitters?? like i’m talking £88.00 shirts. if a tiny tug can destroy a shirt, then it’s hardly going to last me a year without disintegrating. idk it just really brings home how overpriced these items are compared to what they’re actually worth. the price doesn’t reflect the quality at all
Not to even mention how tagging can absolutely destroy articles of clothing, shoes, packages, etc.
I believe this is why many anthr0 stores leave so many items untagged. I have noticed that many lightweight or delicate items have zero tags (but I always double and triple check). I actually haven't had to use my magnet at anthr0 since April.
CAUGHT STORYTIME
Okay, so I’ve only been lifting for about 3 weeks and I’m a go big or go home kind of person. Every single store I go to I have to lift SOMETHING. So, I started really big, hauls that total no less that $500, from the very beginning.
I went on my 3rd or 4th escapade about a week ago and I took my friend…we’ll call her Jade. First of all, let me just STRESS how big of a MISTAKE that was. Jade was exited to lift with me, but she was a newbie and so ridiculously obvious. At one point in Sephora, she told me she wanted a beauty blender and so I got one for her, but apparently she hadn’t seen me get it so she was following me around with one in her hand murmuring “put this in your bag, put this in your bag.” I actually had to stop and explain to her that I’d already used slight of hand to get her one. And then she’d just go around and pick up stuff she wanted and then hand it to me. I was like GIRL. Just say “I like this” and I’ll get it for you when I come to it, don’t obnoxiously fumble it into my hands.
But I had grace because I knew it was her first time and that she was exited. We didn’t get caught while we were at Sephora, but having her there seriously threw me off. I was nervous and I wasn’t doing all of my usual step.
The nightmare started when we went into PINK. She handed me some socks, which I have no experience lifting (I should’ve just told her no). I did do the smart thing and tell her no when she tried to hand me a cap. So I go into the dressing room with my bag and my method to get rid of the tags goes as such. If I’m in the room with the big couch, I just hide them under the seat cover. If it’s just a normal room, I reach up and hide them on the top of the mirror. I had zero clue what to do with the huge sock package. I panicked and put it in the little tin holder I KNOW IM A MORON and then got out.
I usually like to leave ASAP after I lift from a store, but Jade still wanted to look around (😭😭😭). Then the dressing room attendant came right up to me and was like, “did you leave your scissors in the dressing room?” I just looked at her blankly and took them from her. Then she goes, “and did you take any socks?” I hesitated for a second and then said “nope!” In my cheeriest voice. And she asks I’m I’m sure and I say yes. Then she gives me a stare down before walking away.
I see Jade speed walking from the store and I’m like .-. I got ur socks. And she’s like wow lol I thought they were going to take you away!
.-.
Important notes: • don’t take a newbie with you! • only take what you’re comfortable with • don’t get greedy! • leave ASAP • DONT LEAVE YOUR TOOLS IN THE DRESSING ROOM
Ik this is old and I shouldn’t laugh but I died at the last part “wow I thought they were going to take you away!”
(Again, for new lifters: Don't ever leave behind packaging! If there's a tag, remove it. Being in a dressing room, you can check packaging very thoroughly for tags. Then conceal the item, packaging and all. If you leave behind packaging, they can roll back footage and see you with the item. If you take the packaging with you, they may never know anything was taken.) 👌
VS has plain clothed LP. I was just there and there was a guy awkwardly standing around. At first I thought he was just waiting for his gf but he was walking around being super sus and that’s when I noticed the ear piece he had in. He had a jacket with him and when I left he was just standing by the dressing rooms. Be careful guys!!
I saw one of these guys at Victoria’s secret too. I kept looking at him because he was kind of creepy. I think he was trying to act awkward, like he was waiting for his girlfriend or something, but he came off super creepy instead like a random guy just walking around Victoria’s secret watching girls getting underwear.
they can definitely be lil skeevy if they don’t act right! i was once four seconds away from calling for an sa bc i thought some perve was following me… then i realised it was just an lp acting super sus
They can be women too! I have seen female LP in VS, myself. Rule #1 assume everyone is LP
✨👙 How I conceal hangers on-person 👙✨
Pardon my extremely crude drawing! 😂
1. Stick one end of the hanger up by your boobs. Hold it in place by sticking it UNDER your bra line! The very end may stick up slightly above your boob. If it’s visible once my shirt is on, I use my hair to cover it up.
2. Put the hook by your belly button. This is usually where shirts are their loosest, so you don’t really have to worry about this part being visible.
3. Stick the other end of the hanger underneath your panties (to hold it in place). You want it to be closest to the inside of your thighs (people aren’t likely to look directly at your crotch). It will kind of dig in your thigh and hurt a bit when you walk. It may also be slightly visible. I hold my bag so it covers this if it’s visible when I walk.
4. Put your clothes on, de-tag and conceal your item in your bag, and leave the store. Go straight to your car and low-key remove the hanger from your body… Drive across the parking lot or to another store first if you’re scared of being caught in the lot. Ditch the hanger in some bushes somewhere.
Tips: Using Spanx really smooths it out a lot and holds it in place better. Wear looser fitting clothes.
Notes: Does not work with LARGE wooden hangers (for me anyway), only with plastic hangers or thin/smaller wooden hangers. To my knowledge this will also only work if you are wearing pants longer than shorts!
Words of caution: This method will only help you in a fitting room where they count going in (think anthropol0gie, urb@n, @ltar’d st@te). If they count going out (like explicitly count each item), you’re screwed. The most I would take is one item for every 6 or 7 you take into the fitting room!
Have a better method? Let me know!
Almost caught?
Got stopped at a boutique, they asked for the stuff back, let me leave, and said they called the police and if I didn’t bring back the jacket I stole last week, they’d post videos of me on Facebook.
I’m not worried. I’m leaving for school anyways. They don’t know my name or where I live, they didn’t even ask for an address they just said where do you live and ofc I lied. I have a plan to drop the jacket off that will protect me if it is a setup, and I’ll just never go back there again
I was sloppy. I’m going to take this experience as a wake up call and a warning bc it could have been infinitely worse. Prolly gonna take a long break to reevaluate my process and only lift necessities like food or toiletries until then
Please, if you can, elaborate on what you did wrong and what was sloppy. The rest of us could use an experience like this to keep us safe and humble. Thank you!
The “Prep for big trip and get bf Christmas gift out of the way” haul.
Idk about you all but outdoors/active wear is so fucking overpriced that bubble vest alone was $175 like holy fuck.
🌸 Total $858 🌸
Sports stores are way underrated for lifting. I love jackets, guys
When someone notices you have something new and tells you need to start spending your money responsibly but you stole it
Been trying not to lift lately but I caved for this because it was just sitting there, no spider wrap or tags whatsoever. Got some groceries and film with it but they’re gone now and I don’t wanna look shit up to include it in the total. $70 saved
The dream
all about that athleisurewear aesthetic
total ~1400
YASSSSSSSSSSSSSS queen. I see you've gotten into the Yeti products, as well! 😉
Such a cute summery haul!
I'm so glad to see you back!!! :D
Thank you, thank you!! 🙏❤️ I'm so happy to see that you and the rest of my favorite lifters are still here. You, especially, taught me so much and it makes me so happy to hear from you!
Lmfao
I don’t get why all y'all are convinced I’m fucking white but I don’t understand why the color of my skin matters when the actual issue at hand is the fact that liftblr-things robbed a fucking home and is bragging about it. Like I’d even get if you were had a drug issue and were fucked up and broke into a house and then maybe felt bad after the fact but straight up bragging about the fact that you have such a horrible problem with your theft is that you felt the need to break into someone’s home and steal their personal items. I get you think you know everything but breaking the lifting code and fucking stealing from a persons personal shit is very fucked up. You don’t know how to fight that fact so you’re bringing my race involved which is still racist inherently on its own. You’re a keyboard sjw and a fucking pussy. If you have a problem with someone’s own work or political stance you educate them or you work positively in your community to actually make an effort. You don’t fucking rob them. Why would they know they were robbed because they were trump supporters? Or if they had money? Or if someone wanted to threaten them? What if their kids think someone’s going to kill them? You robbed their sense of security which everyone no matter how shitty is entitled to in their own home or personal space. That’s fucked up to do to someone in no matter situation and isn’t comparable to shoplifting
They might not have saved up for the “office chair” but they sure as hell spent years building up that sense of security, like????? It’s the number 1 lifting rule for a reason, anyone who disagrees with what @otterslift has to say can please unfollow me because you’re all just as bad as the scumbag who robbed a FAMILY home
I’ve come to several conclusions about this because it’s obvious this person has no shame and does not regret their actions. They are probably a troll. And by judging when I was able to they actually are not that experienced. The only way they were able to get stuff was by break into someone’s home. Like I said that or either a troll. Regardless, encouraging this kind of crappy behavior is what made so many good and I mean really good lifters leave this site. We all know where they went to. It’s just the 15-year olds on here who still reblog master store list. It’s just to a point where it’s just so sad. I remember the old community. But then again soon enough these people will get caught or grow up or with this person they will more than likely go to jail for car hopping or doing something else much much worse. The whole issue at hand is that a smokescreen is being created to try to make you out to be a racist. You know it’s actually funny? That’s a strategy that Donald Trump actually uses to manipulate the media.
None of this was political and yet people are trying to say that this is a political issue. The whole thing that brought any type of politics into it was the fact that she justifies robbing these people because she suspects that they were Trump supporters.
As everyone has mentioned, if you rob someone based on who they vote on then you’re no better than who they vote for.
But no one wants to answer the actual serious questions. The would you feel different if they were wrong because they were black or gay or straight or a woman? No one really wants to go there.
And that’s half of the issue. Entitled children. “Oh we come to liftblr for clothes and makeup”. You come so you can see all the same crap. A lot of us come here because it was a community and a lot of us are actually friends outside of this community. We got a new wave of people in and it’s been very strong to the point where some older accounts myself included wanted to delete but this type of behavior cannot be ignored or excused.
Also turning this into an sjw issue like by saying this other person’s racist or ableist. This is seriously not critical thinking. The new generation. Clap clap. The bubble and the safe space. Another stated multiple times before because no one wants to make it political but unfortunately the OP made it political by saying her reason for breaking into the house was because they were suspected Trump supporters. That’s really what drove it to the political Edge. But if we’re going to talk politics, and that election, which honestly don’t really want to go there with the election but the whole being too sensitive was literally what got this man into power. It’s making me watch everything I love burned. And how many of you actually voted in this? I’m old enough to vote. I voted in this. Half of you on here did not and that infuriates me. You’ve really got to choose here. You’re going to call someone racist, or ableist without any proof whatsoever are you going to defend someone who robbed the home? That’s where the scum really sets in. And there are some stains you cannot remove.
Well said 💕
Otterslift deactivated:(
@loliftingg do you really blame her 😭 the shit going on right now, I’m tempted to deactivate too
No!! 😢 We learned SO much from otterslift. She can never be forgotten, guys!
