HI MY LOVELY PEEPS,
I thought it was time to make this post. For the past couple of weeks I've been struggling with what to do about Birthmarked because it's my baby. I love it and it's grown so much (maybe not in numbers, but in quality). I didn't want to make this post on the main because I'm doing it for you guys, my friends, the people who have stuck with this rp through the up and downs and not for the passerbys that are looking for rpgs to join. I love you guys so much and that's why this had been so hard. I'm not giving up on Birthmarked, no one can put so much work into something and see it go to waste. However, I'm not in a state where I have the time to make it prosper, I don't want to see it handed off to someone else either. So I'm closing it down officially. Not forever, just for now. It might be a few months and it might be a year, but Birthmarked will be up and running again. I'm in no rush, that's why it's closed now. If you would like to keep your character (and I wrote it), feel free to do so. Know that I'm doing well and hope you are too. If you want to keep in touch leave info in Nash's inbox! We had a good run.
See you on the flip side.
Love,
Sadie, Ripley, Nash, Talisa, and Nikolai.
I honestly have no idea.
That leaves me at an impasse then.
Nobody in their right mind would actually want your backpack.
Evidence points otherwise. But to fill your curiosity, I'm more concerned about the contents than the five dollar pack.
Who took my backpack?
That pop quiz last period? It went great.
You're going places.
I'm going to be frank here.
If I had been born blind, I would probably be more adept at finding things without the aid of my eyes. At least, I hope I would. That makes sense, right?
[He slides the phone into the bag slung over his shoulder and chest, frowning.] I will hit you with the cane if you try to take it back.
Yep. You have it bad then, because you know what you're missing out on.
Some would call that a murse, a man purse. I dig it, ten points for style choice. I'll kick you in the shins if you hit me with your cane.
I'm going to be frank here.
Don’t judge me, Nash.
You had better be fucking kidding me.
Were you born blind?
Never have I ever been a liar.
I'm going to be frank here.
…I look for things like a blind person. I look for them with a stick and I mean that very literally. If it falls on the floor, I poke the floor with a stick until I find it. End of story.
[Frowns closing his hand around the device and relaxing a little automatically.] Hate to break it to you, but I don’t carry a lot of money on me and what I do is mostly in change, so you’re S.O.L.
You're very narrow minded, aren't you, buckaroo?
I'm tempted to throw your phone across the room again.
I'm going to be frank here.
A three? So generous. I thought I had fallen to a zero, seeing as I already tried for an hour and still failed. Either way, you’re still potentially more helpful than I am.
I see. We have both weighed these pros and cons, obviously. At some point, the waves were worth it for me.
It's because you're not trying hard enough. You look for things like such a boy.
Lifts up a jacket on the ground and grabs the phone, placing in his hand. Voila, you owe me five bucks.
I'm going to be frank here.
Well you’re less than helpful then, aren’t you? I’m sure someone will call it eventually. I hope. Maybe. Why don’t you have a phone?
I'm not the blind one here, I bet I'm a four on the helpful scale and you're a three.
I don't want radioactive waves penetrating my skull.
I'm going to be frank here.
I have been trying to find my phone for like an hour. It might be gone forever.
It also might be under something, though. It could honestly go either way.
You should get someone to call it, but not me. I don't have one, the hipsters love me.
The deli downtown is great, you guys should try it out sometime.
Can I have some?
Why do people even bother to use words that they don’t know the definitions of?
We should abrogate them.
If it wouldn’t be considered vehicular manslaughter, I would have.
What a shame. You're that stripper, aren't you? With a galactic name.
I feel like my whole life is studying right now and I’m not sure I’m not sick of it yet. I mean who thought finals after you already got accepted to college was a good idea?
That's why I never applied.
