It’s complicated. @deimos-x
I sort of... found someone in myself that was more than I expected.
“Oh, pish posh. I don’t care about your advice but I will take both some coffee and a sarcastic comment. Your choice, for both, by the way.”
“Coffee?” Khione mused with an arched eyebrow before turning to give the coffee shop menu a significant look. “Well that narrows it down. A lot.”

||Aergia+Khione
Ah she loved this little banter with her employee sometimes it was just made her day, Aergia wasn’t stupid just lazy so she knew what the other was getting at mentioning about her sleeping habits and what now about work but Aergia mostly just chose too ignore that, she knew she wasn’t exactly the best owner and should do more but to actually do that she’d probably need some rewiring in her brain “I know wouldn’t that of been a travesty” her head shook as she shrugged her shoulders meaning ‘oh well’.
“Wow could you imagine that? i guess i’d just have to be ordering food all the time huh, that or turn this place into part takeaway” Seeing her repeat the gesture she had made moments before put a bigger smile on her face, Khione was so fun. “Well ok then pizza it is, what kind do you want and do you want a dessert because i know i’m going to be ordering a big piece of cake” Already she flipped her phone out of her pocket having the number to the takeaway she knew she’d be ordering from saved into the contacts of her phone.
The idea didn’t seem too bad. Though that would mean waaay more work and it would probably fall onto her just like it did now, so she didn’t know how she felt about it completely, but she never ignored an idea that could be a potential moneymaker. “You know what,” she started as she turned more towards her, “that’s actually not a bad idea at all.” In a way, Khione was slightly surprised Aergia came up with it, even though she meant it as a joke. “Think about it, expanding business could only be a good thing, right? This is one of the best coffee shops in the city, opening the food corner would only be a plus.” They could discuss business once they actually ordered food. Khione was too hungry to think anyway. “Pepperoni pizza would be just fine. Oh and please tell them to put some ketchup on.” The desert didn’t really cross her mind, but since she’s not paying for it anyway, why not? She did work hard the entire day after all and food was something she definitely deserved. “Anything chocolate works.” Khione wasn’t that picky when it came to deserts. If it was chocolate, she’d eat it.
The pirate and the poppet || Edward&Mary
Edward looked at his face in the mirror upstairs in his room, checking out the short stubble on his face. Maybe be he’d grow it out and leave it in this lifetime, he wasn’t entirely sure. He left his room and marched back down the stairs, a fresh apron in hand, and hid it behind the bar. He looked out over the crowd that had already begun to form this early in the afternoon, a group of some of the most different people he had seen in a long time. British Navy officials sat at a table beside a group of poor lower class shoprunners, each waiting in anticipation to get a drink in their hand. They looked over at Edward, waiting for him to give the signal. He simply rolled his eyes and waved the men over. “Come on up, you bunch of drunks. We’re open.” In one massive file, the men hit the bar like a wave on the side of a ship, forcefully enough that he heard bottles beneath the bar shaking.
It was a few hours into the day already, the long black hairs on Edward’s head disheveled and falling out of place, when the rush began to dissipate a bit that Edward noticed the young woman walking up to the bar. She couldn’t have been a customer, seeing as most female customers at his bar were prostitutes that followed men in. And this woman was too clean to be a prostitute. It was only after she introduced herself that Edward remembered the promise he had made the week before with her father.
“Ah, Ms. Ormond,” he said, leading her to the bar. “Follow me, please.”
When they arrived at the bar, Edward couldn’t help but notice the wandering eyes of a few of his customers gazing at the pretty girl behind him. He opened the swinging door behind him to allow her back behind the bar with him. He didn’t usually let anybody behind the bar on day one, but didn’t trust the men out at the bar too much either.
“Ms. Ormond, welcome to Drummond’s,” he said as he reached beneath the bar and producing the apron he had brought down for her. “My name is Edward Drummond. You don’t have to call me Mr. Drummond, but you can’t call me Eddie either. Now have you ever worked in a bar before?”
By the look on the man’s face, Mary thought he might have forgotten about promise he made to her father, but once he recognized who she was and why she was there, a slight smile of relief tugged on the corner of her lips. “Yes, right away.” she nodded in an instant before following the man to the bar. Her eyes wandered around, trying to get used to her surroundings. It wasn’t too bad. She felt like she could get a hand of the things easily. But then again, she was only inside for a minute or two. Who knew what could happen in ten. However, Mary was willing to take up a challenge. A small part of her was thrilled with the new job seeing it was something different and not that common for a woman. It tickled the free spirit she always tried to restrain so much to make a good image for her family. After all, she knew her future depended on it, but this. This was something beyond her imagination. Mary’s eyes returned to her front just as the man opened the swinging door. From what her father told her, she was not to go behind the bar as that was sir Drummond’s workplace and she was not to disturb him while he worked. But now it seemed like the man was inviting her to come along and she couldn’t really disrespect her boss on the first day. Stepping inside, she moved in just enough to let the door close behind her, but not enough to bother the man in his personal space.
“Thank you very much for having me.” Mary retored and actually offered him a smile.
Seeing the apron that was meant for her, Mary took it from sir Drummond and quickly tied it around her waist before slightly straightening it with her palms, trying to make it look as neat as possible. It didn’t seem like this place required too neat, but it was just a habit by now and there was no escaping it. If nothing else, at least her mother would be proud of her for trying to look decent and presentable.
Edward Drummond. She quickly memorised his name before listening to the further things he was saying. He didn’t have to warn her about the way she should call him since she always tried to be polite with everyone as much as she could. Not that he could know that, so Mary simply went along with what he said. “No, sir.” she responded with a light shake of head before folding her hands in front of her.
Aether was not one to get into conflicts, and he didn’t want to get into a conflict with the other woman. “Fine. I’ll do that next time. To go, if you will.” Replied Aether, pulling out a twenty dollar bill from his wallet to pay and setting it on the counter for her. “Keep the change.” Said the god as he walked over to the other side, waiting for his coffee.
“Cool.” she hummed before nodding at him as she picked up to go cup and the lid. “To go coming right up. And thanks.” It took her a few moments to fix up the drink, wanting to make it perfect as she hated sucky coffee. There were a few things that were worse than bad coffee, but bad coffe was still very, very bad. “Here you go, Watch it though, it’s super hot.” she warned him as she took the bill and put it in the cash register.
Small laughter bubbled in Thanatos’ throat at her words, nodding his head in agreement. Then, a wide, beaming grin broke out on his face. “Couldn’t agree more. Absolutely disgusting…worse than death.” Being he was death and had in fact experienced death on numerous occasions, he felt fully qualified to make such a claim…even if he was making it in jest.
“Says the death.” Khione noted before bursting into laughter herself. She was a big fan of this kind of humor and it was actually quite pleasant to find a god who appreciated it as well. Not that she’d ever admit it. It was just the way she was. “So, I take that as in you won’t be ordering cold coffee?”
Wake up FB || Khione&Phobos
Phobos couldn’t help but be highly amused. He rarely showed anyone the deeper, and homebodied sides of himself. Calling him grandma was proof enough Khione knew exactly how he was under all the ingrained layers of being a soldier. Phobos could torture a soul until they sang every bit of information he desired– but how he could also prepare and cook a beautiful pork tenderloin. Hand butchered himself typically if he could travel to a farm up north the city. Phobos forever a hunter, a predator in his own roots came with perks and traits most didn’t see beyond his aggression.
“I would never expect you too,” he said genuinely, Phobos actually really happy she decided to humor him on this because he was genuinely exciting about showing her. He moved them through the small gathering crowds, the warehouse more filled than anyone would expect at this time of day. The sun hadn’t even peaked it’s bright face on the horizon yet, and yet all seemed as energetic as Phobos. He grabbed a couple paper bags with thick handles on them, walking up to the first vendor who was dumping freshly caught mussels.
“Look though– I have an ulterior motive here,” he admitted, checking each one while he tossed a dozen in his bag and handed the guy cash. “You know I found my twin Deimos in this life,” he said quiet enough for them to hear. “And I dunno– yall should meet or something. I have always wanted you too. He’s pretty hot in this life– well every life. He’s always gotten the looks in my opinion– me I am always thrown into these big bodies with long hair like it’s my birthright.”
“Yeah, good.” she grinned at him before they began moving through the crowd. It was actually fascinating that so many people woke up at 4 am to go to the market. Guess there was still life that wasn’t bound to the craziness of the modern age. Her eyes scanned the room and for the first time in a while, she saw people without dark shadows upon them. All of the people in the market were there either because they are trying to provide the living for their families or because they want to make something for the special people in their life. Sure, there could be some corrupted people around as well, but that slipped her mind at the moment. Snapping out of her little bubble, Khione observed Phobos pick the mussels. He definitely had the food skills. Who knows what else he was hiding under those muscles. She knew him quite well, but still, she knew there were things he never told her and probably never will, but it was same the other way around so it wasn’t something she could or would complain about. Some parts of their personalities and lives were simply meant for them, and that was it. It wasn’t something she wasn’t aware of. Words ulterior motive brought her attention again, and she realized she was spacing out. Her brain was still probably asleep so before making any comments, she drew another sip of her coffee, hoping it would do a trick or otherwise Phobos would end up talking to himself. “I’m deeply shocked there is another reason I am here.” she said in a flat voice once she downed her sip. “Though, I really hope the ulterior motive is not to kill me and drop me somewhere here, or trade me for the fish. That’d be really upsetting.” Khione rambled, but still smirked a bit before letting him go on. Deimos. Ah, Phobos’ twin. Her eyebrows slightly arched at the way Phobos spoke to her about Deimos and she couldn’t miss an opportunity to tease him a bit. “You sound like a girl who is about to bring home her boyfriend to meet her parents for the first time.” she drew another sip before shrugging lightly, “Also, from the way you speak of him, I feel like there is an ulterior motive to your ulterior motive.”

Disclaimer: This is my muse’s personal thought, something that is known to her only. I don’t know how I feel about you. You make me feel like a bigger mess than I already am and somehow I think the no strings attached got us pretty tangled up (not that I mind being tangled up with you, it’s a good place to be). Yet with all of that turbulence you keep causing me, you’re something safe, something I can give into with ease and forget about the world, something I feel like I know (maybe even something I could call home). But then again, what do I know? I’m just an escort... right?
“And I know we both are broken, and I know it’s not my place to say or to even consider it, but no one will ever love you like I do. With all the broken pieces, with all the madness I’ve got.”

Disclaimer: This is my muse’s personal thought, something that is known to her only.I actually don’t have the urge to punch you in the face all the time, but I do think you can be slightly unreasonable at times. But above all, I love you most when you’re drunk. (And I think you should be drunk at work. You seem to be surprisingly reasonable when drunk.)

Disclaimer: This is my muse’s personal thought, something that is known to her only.You get on my nerves. You claim you hate everyone around you but you keep getting into everyone’s business. If you dislike the company of any god(ddess) then you could as well refrain yourself from blabbing your judgemental bullshit anywhere you manage. You criticize me for my second job but don’t stop for a second to think about who you are and that maybe you’re the last person who should be coming at me. If I am not poking my nose into your life and business, I’d appreciate you did the same.
||Aergia+Khione
“Why thank you that is so nice of you calling me a beauty” Her hand went over her heart pretending to be touched because of course she knew that wasn’t what the other had meant in the slightest “And yes i had a pleasant nap, you’d think with all the noise of all the customers in here i wouldn’t be able to sleep but its just never the case, truly a blessing and a curse” Her shoulders moved up into a shrugged almost laughing too herself. She was only joking around but it wasn’t like Aergia didn’t want to do anything around the coffee shop its just it was pretty impossible to shake your nature of being a goddess of sloth and laziness.
“Anyway just came over to see how you were doing and if you want any food because i’m totally going to be ordering something because i think my stomach emptied as i was sleeping” It was pretty normal of her too order food to the shop, it saved having to walk out and get it herself and it was the least she could do too offer some to her work staff “I’ll let you get something a little extra for being my best employee”
“You’re very welcome.” she hummed, a slightly bitter smile forming on her lips. “Well aren’t your problems just troubling. Good thing the noise didn’t wake you up, imagine if you actually had to work.” Khione shuddered at the thought, trying to somehow let her know that maybe it was about time she started taking care of her own caffee. Why have a business if you’re never going to work? All the owners had to do at least something and sleeping wasn’t that something. Though, if sleeping was a currency, they’d certainly be loaded. If nothing else, at least she wasn’t off getting high. Then they’d actually have a problem. Sleeping could still be solved. Maybe. Somehow. If Khione installed a bucket with ice cold water above Aergia’s favorite sleeping place and a camera somewhere on the side to tape the glorious awakening every time. “I’m doing just great. Like every single day.” Not that she had any choice. “Poor you. But good thing you were sleeping. I hear stomach empties even more when you’re constantly running around. It even burns calories.” Attitude was something Khione just couldn’t escape, and after a shift like this, she might have been slightly more moody than usual. “Well isnt’ that flattering.” Now she was the one putting her hand over her heart. Still, it was nice to be appreciated. “Pizza would be awesome.” she sighed, too hungry to keep up any further wordy games.
