I’m literally always saying this. U have to kill yourself to just look like some guy in a shirt
[recommending something i sincerely love] ok so the thing about it is it kinda sucks
I want you guys to know I think the phrase “beats walkin” every single day. Like whenever times get tough or when I have to make do or whatever I’m always like well. Beats walkin. It keeps me going I want it on my gravestone after I pass
i am just moved by everything now. i'm porous and everything gets inside me
— jay vespertine; from the usual: full moon insanity
im so sick of unnecessary dinner scenes in movies 😡 every fucking movie they just want to titillate you with some food because they think you’re a dumb animal who just wants to see mashed potatoes bouncing. if its an IMPORTANT dinner scene where they explain lore then whatever i understand. but they shove useless meals into every movie these days and its disgusting
really? you don’t say
The Fallen Bridge…
There are journeys that do not break us because they are too long, but because they finally demand honesty. The traveler can endure storm and hunger, the horizon that claims a piece of the self with every step. True exhaustion comes only when, having walked past the borders of the familiar, one stands where the world itself seems to end.
The bridge has fallen.
Not cracked. Not awaiting repair. Fallen.
There is a particular silence in facing the structure that once carried you, now reduced to memory and scattered stone. Behind lies the road that devoured who you were. Ahead lies the unknown land you fought to reach. Between them yawns the emptiness where certainty once stood.
In such moments the mind turns cruel. It mistakes the fallen bridge for the collapse of meaning. It forgets that some bridges are not meant to last forever. They exist only until the traveler becomes someone who no longer needs to cross the same way.
Every plank was once a cherished belief. Every rope, a former version of the self that held just long enough. Every step across its span, a quiet vow to become strange to oneself.
Now the bridge lies fallen because the person who required it has begun to disappear.
This is the strange mercy of transformation: it rarely arrives with fanfare. More often it comes as ruin, leaving you among the wreckage of old protections, wondering why the world would take away the very thing that brought you this far.
Yet perhaps the bridge did not betray you.
Perhaps it fulfilled its purpose completely.
A seed does not mourn the breaking of its shell as tragedy. That shell was necessary, but to remain inside it would have been the true death. Growth often wears the mask of destruction, for the structure that once protected you has become the one that confines you.
The weary traveler gazes across the chasm and sees only distance.
Yet something deeper has already crossed. The one who began the journey no longer stands on this shore. There is no vantage left from which this can be undone.
Here, perhaps, is the final teaching hidden in the ruins: the traveler was never merely seeking a distant shore. They were becoming someone capable of standing, whole and alive, even when the world no longer resembled the destination they had imagined.
The road back will be long. It will wind through the same landscapes, yet they will sing with new meaning. Trees that once measured distance now mark memory. Storms once feared as endings now testify to survival. The traveler returns, not diminished, but carrying an inner world that did not exist when they first set out.
For the purpose was never to reach a place where nothing could fall. The purpose was to become someone who could keep walking after everything did.
The fallen bridge is not the end of the story.
It is the moment the traveler discovers that a path is not only what lies beneath their feet.
Sometimes the path is the person who keeps walking.
“Never be afraid to fall apart because it is an opportunity to rebuild yourself the way you wish you had been all along.”

From the article:
French Polynesia has become the world’s largest contributor to the global 30×30 ocean protection target, after President Moetai Brotherson announced on 7 June that a further 520,000 km² of the territory’s waters will be fully protected from extractive industries. The move brings the total share of French Polynesia’s exclusive economic zone under full protection to around 30%, an area covering roughly 1.4 million km², more than twice the size of continental France.
For those who don't know, 30x30 refers to global efforts to commit to preserving 30% of land and ocean habitat by 2030. French Polynesia has now hit that target.
It's worth noting that the decision to protect these areas was made with the consensus of French Polynesian communities and that traditional sustenance fishing by local communities is still permitted.
