Y’ever read something and have understanding that has eluded you interminably suddenly stop, curl up, and snuggle neatly into a fold in your brain because a new way way opened to it?
I've seen this passed around a few times, and I have one thing to say:
It's online. The book was carefully and wonderfully recreated online by hand. You can find it here. The entire book is this easy.

ok so apparently not a lot of ppl know to do this when ‘reviewing notes’ but
look at section of notes
look away from section of notes
explain section of notes
check if explanation was correct
identify mistakes/gaps
recite correction for each mistake/gap
repeat until no mistakes
gotta practice recalling the info instead of just acknowledging its correctness

How to strengthen your brain outside of school:
Maybe you’re not in school anymore, or you’re taking a gap year to save for school and you’re worried about keeping your brain fast and not getting too lazy. Well, here are a few helpful ways to make sure that you keep thinking:
Read books daily. Always have a book on the go. Reading keeps your brain active and it’s a cathartic activity. If you’re feeling up to it, read self-improvement books, or informative books.
Watch Ted Talks. Not only are these videos filled with so much great information, they are also inspiring.
Think about where you want to be in the future and start preparing for that. If this means that you need to spend hours of your life prepping the perfect resume so you can get a job or internship that takes you a step closer, then so be it. If you want to start your own business I’d highly recommend that you research the hell out of entrepreneurship.
Exercise. Exercise is important for the brain. It also keeps you happy, which in turn keeps you motivated.
Expand your vocabulary. Write down the words you don’t know in books and look them up, keep them on flashcards and memorize them. Big vocabularies are so important and they do come in handy.
Learn a new language. You can do this for free on apps like Duolingo or you can actually go and take courses somewhere. This could help you so much if you plan on doing University abroad or even getting a job there.
Watch documentaries. Netflix can currently teach you about the Vietnam war, World War II, the Earth, the global food trade etc. Learn.
Watch the news, listen to it or read about it. It’s important that we know what’s happening right now and memes can distract us, but try to be informed. Maybe you can make a difference.
Learn a new skill. It’s time to learn something you’ve always wanted to, whether it’s cooking, sewing, art, photography, yoga, mechanics etc. Teach yourself.
Do online classes to boost your grades for University.
Do online classes because you’re curious. Don’t stifle your curiosity. Curiosity is an asset.
Challenge yourself to do one productive thing every day. Don’t let yourself go to bed without mental stimulation for the day.
Dealing with Eye Strain - Keeping Eyes Chill Without Eyedrops
My eyes usually start stinging if I look at the screen too much or read a lot. So I was just making a list of things I should do to remedy it without going out to buy eyedrops.
Anyway, I thought I should share them with you students out there dealing with this too.
Try out eye exercises, google them. For instance, make circles with your eyes by looking at the edges of your vision clockwise and then anticlockwise. Or try looking at something far away then quickly look at your nose. Repeat a few times.
Relax and look into distance every 30 mins. You can take the moment to take deep breaths or day dream.
Looking at the sky, or an large areas of blue or green can help.
About every 20 mins, close you eyes by covering them for 10 secs with your palms.
Splash cold water on eyes for 10-30 secs. Do every hour if needed.
Put either a teaspoon in the fridge or used teabag/damp face towel in the freezer for at least a couple of hours. Put on eyes on and off in 5-10 second intervals, for about a minute, or as needed.
Take eye strain supplements. Bilberry is a popular one. Or just ask your pharmacist for their recommendation.
If you can, keep your room on the cooler side. No more than 25C/77F, 21C/70F is better. I’m used to always having the heater on, since my room gets cold easily, but I resolved to layering up in cardigans and hoodies and keeping it off when I can. I realised this after I noticed that my eyes hurt less I went to a colder room, compared to my warm one.
Put on sunglasses. You might look out of place depending where you are, but it reduces glare and contrast, making things less stressful for your eyes.
Take a 5-15 mins nap. You don’t actually have to sleep if you can’t. It usually takes me 20-30 mins to fall asleep. Just keep you eyes closed and relaxed. Focus on your breathing if you need to think about something.
Disclaimer: the timings are a general guide and will vary from person to person.
I hope these tips can help :)
also, if the issue is your tech’s blue light, using flux or those blue light blocking glasses helps!
