I am stunned by Dior’s Sauvage commercial. Like, who in the hell thought that was a good idea? “Hey, I know! Let’s include some Native Americans in a commercial for our overpriced shitty cologne Sauvage. We’ll put an Indian girl in a buckskin dress. We’ll include a fancy dancer. And oh, let’s put a shot of a coyote in it, too, and we should talk about how we’re all connected to the land or something.” I am face-palming so hard right now. And what gets me is the fact that there were Native people involved in this project. How did they not speak up and say this shit is offensive? I guess I can’t underestimate people willing to exploit their own people and culture for some clout.
