Happy Sunday! Geesh it’s taking forever for my eyebrows to grow out>>>want a fuller brow so I’m lightly filling in the gaps with powder! Used #urbandecay vice 3 on eyes in alchemy, Allen, dtf, and defy :) and their beauty balm in dark and setting powder in medium dark and #Nyxcosmetics Thalia on the lip with some of the urban decay updone powder over it…it’s weird I like to put on makeup but not look like I have a lot on…used @embracethenaturalyou LOC set for this twistout which I pinned into a fro hawk…Its been my fave style with this length for the last several weeks 👍 #fro #twistout #frohawk #naturalhair #teamnatural #kinkychicks #naturalhairdaily

PBS did a documentary a while back called “Slavery By Another Name” and this image was part of it. The level of depravity and violence enacted on Black people in this country is bone chilling. Many of the prisoners in these forced labor camps were children.

You can just see the overwhelming sense of defeat and hopelessness in the eyes of the Black folks in the images. You might shed some tears. I certainly did.

This is US History. Know it.
