Chris thought he was home alone. His parents were away at a business trip and his brother was gone at basketball practice, so what was the point of putting on clothes. Doug was very lucky to have a group of good friends  who were determined to visit him at the hospital after he had his accident. It was just very unlucky for him that they happened to arrive at an incredibly embarrassing situation.
