"Come all the way up to KOOL." Up to where? Up to lung cancer? The ad features a lovely painted forest path, presumably to distract you from the fact that you're inhaling 19mg of tar. "Discover a smoother menthol," smooth like a velvet glove hiding an iron fist of carcinogens. The warning label is there, but it's small and polite, like a "wet floor" sign in a minefield.
