a pale hand reaches out for nagini, a single finger cupping her chin, and a sallow ghost of a smile decorated model face. ❝ have your fun, my dear. ❞ if her fangs ached to penetrade unworthy flesh, if her muscles itched to break and crush, who was tom to deny her the temporary pleasure of a chew toy?

nagini, too, recognised his unworthiness — but was still keen on sending a message to those that dared to attempt to lay a single hand on her, or tom. with that being said, nagini figures that tom may wish to punish him differently. wrong. her eyes widen slightly as he mentions she can have fun with him, as she pleased. the corners of her lips threaten to turn upwards for a second, and she crouches down behind them. ❛ you wanted to feel me? ❜ nagini whispers as she wraps her arms around him, and at will, before the prying eyes of bystanders, she willingly shifts form.

the gasps no longer bother her in beast form, the wiggle of her latest prey is useless against her already restrictive and tightening grip, and without a warning, she delivers the fatal strike to their jugular. it does not kill him, not instantly. nagini wants him to feel her, as he had daringly attempted previously. their noise, their screams fill the void, the silence all too well as she tears through their flesh one bite at a time. only when the silence becomes deafening for some time does she release him. unworthy, she recalled that.

nagini often noticed that peyton felt... misplaced, much like she often did whilst lurking these corridors. the sense of safety had always been foreign, and yet within those walls . . . ❛ life? ❜ she asks, hoping the other would elaborate a little more on what was bothering them, but it seemed peyton had other plans. ones that involved not sharing her worries with her, that involved keeping everything to herself — and nagini wasn't very happy about it. she knew, from experience, how bad things could get when one kept everything to themselves . . . she didn't want peyton to go through that.

approaching the latter, nagini bends over the back of the couch, arms wrapping loosely around peyton's neck, lips pressed to the shell of their ear. ❛ what will it take for you to open up to me, hm? ❜ nagini asks such softly, not wanting to startle or insist on the matter if peyton really didn't want to disclose it. ❛ me? i am okay. worried about you, still trying to find a solution for my . . . problem, but i'm okay. you don't need to worry about me, especially when i know you are having a hard time, right? ❜

first of all, you might want to brush up on your knowledge of nagini which is clearly null. nagini is far more than what you saw on harry potter, where she only showed up as a snake. nagini was once human, and had a blood curse which gave her the ability to transform / shapeshift into a snake — this curse would mean that, down the line, she would not be able to revert back into her human form and would become a snake permanently, as seen in harry potter.

now that i have educated you on who nagini is / was, let me continue to educate you on her role throughout the series. she is the ONLY living horcrux tom has. i can already hear you going 'what about harry', but that's just the thing. tom never meant to make harry one. it simply happened. nagini he chose to rescue, to keep and to provide such an important role to. although he turned to the dark arts, everyone acknowledged the fact tom was one of the greatest wizards to have existed — and he chose nagini to be by his side. sounds very important to me!

next, let me help you with a couple things : 'nagini is literally a beautiful snake. thank you for showing their human side as well as their snake side.' to that, i say thank you ! she really deserved more than harry potter and fantastic beasts showed of her. moving on to other pressing matters, as you said MY portrayal. it means i do with it whatever i please, whenever i please without giving anyone — especially not you — any sort of explanation. furthermore, with such atrocious grammar, i doubt you can show me anything, pumpkin.

❛  i cannot remember much of what happened to me last night.  ❜ | prompt.

slytherin's heir stands from his desk, abandoning work waiting to be attended, orders waiting to be given; quiet footfalls carry him over expensive carpet, over to her, resting ontop king sized bed in a nest of velvet blankets. placed there by lord voldemort after last night's. . . violent escapades. her mind seemingly forgotten; in rage, and perhaps fear, serpentine queen had attacked everything that moved.

a handful of death eaters had lost their lives that day, it mattered little to lord voldemort / it was her safety riddle worried about. he sits ontop the bed, a pale hand reaches out to cup her face. ❝ worry not, my love. ❞ honeyed words leaving pale lips in a gentle whisper, like a serpent's hiss; like velvet dripping with sweet poison.

❝ you went on a little rampage, that was all. ❞ the house elves were still busy cleaning the blood off the expensive furniture, none of hers, of course, though a few death eaters might have tried to lift their wands in panicked self defense —– tom had cut them short before a single spell might've left unworthy throats. how dare they think themselves mighty enough, their wands potent enough, to deter lord voldemort's serpentine queen?

❝ you should rest for now, my darling, are you hungry? or thirsty? ❞ pale lips press a soft kiss on nagini's forehead, a gentle touch urges her to lay back down. tom knows not how much time she had left, haste was of the utmost essence now. the potion must be completed soon and there was no room for failure. . . the dark lord loved the beast as much as the woman, but he cannot stand the sight of her in pain / of nagini being bereft of choice.

a ticking bomb. the curse was near to its completion. she could feel it in her bones. the ache was something she was familiar with, but not with as much intensity as she had been feeling lately. it was consuming in every sense of the word. for once, she slouches as she sits — finding it hard to straighten up her posture. her eyes follow tom as he sits across from her, but still within reach. within her reach. tom was always near, since the very first day.

with tom confirming what she already assumed had taken place, her gaze falls on to her lap. she had cost him a few numbers surely. though she knows he does not worry much over such matters, it still meant he had lost followers to his cause — to do the tasks he had been meticulously putting together for so long. everything was a blur. nagini could recall very little of what had taken place, and maybe it was better that way. the less she recalled, the less window she had for remorse, guilt.

her eyes flutter shut as he presses a gentle kiss to her forehead and ushers her to lay down, which she complies with. how could she not when every inch of her ached? ❛ . . . i am sorry. i . . . am not too sure— ❜ how to stop the curse from taking over the way it did. ❛ would it be best . . . to keep me here? ❜ away from the death eaters and the gatherings. nagini knows they are not her biggest fans, and this, possibly, made it worse, but the idea of leaving tom alone with them didn't please her either.
