“I have a strict family, you could say.”
“Honestly... that’s very relatable.”
“No, fortunately, I’d be dead if that ended up being the case.”
“Dead?”
“The hotness only goes so far.”
“Fair enough,” Nova couldn’t help but agree.
“I swear if I have to spend another minute in St. Mungo’s, they’re going to have to drag my arse to the psych ward.”
“What about the hot doctors?”
“Have you ever had an instant craving for something but are unable to figure out what exactly your body is craving?”
“Are you pregnant or something?”
“Basically, don’t you worry though, I’ve managed to do worse to him,” Emma shrugged. “I don’t think he’ll be at a game for the rest of the season.”
“Emma-- please tell me you didn’t do what I think you did.”
“Got bored of the same old, same old routine. I needed change.”
“Well it suits you, Cis.”
Sighing, Emma leaned back against the couch and desperately reached out for the glass and pressed it to her lips, “Some rival asshole decided it would be fun to get me sick in hopes of keeping me off the pitch. Not to mention, I turned him down harshly multiple times.”
“So you’re tell me that some creepy horny dude got you sick because you turned him down and he realized we have a big game next week that we need to train for?” Nova recalled, “Gross.”
“This Cissy decided to stop caring.”
“Ooh, I like. But wait... why? What changed your mind?”
“No, but fireball has enough kick to it don’t you think? I think we both need the alcohol, it’ll make this a much more entertaining experience.”
Debating it for a second, eventually the blond grabbed another glass and began to pour some for Emma, “Alright, alright,” Nova said, sliding the glass over to the brunette. “How did you get so sick anyways?”
“What was that? I’d say I was listening, but that’d be a lie.”
“Who are you and what have you done to ‘Cissa? Because this gal is reminding me a lot of myself.”
“Taking photos of someone while they’re sick is highly frowned upon, you’d be wise to put that phone of yours away and instead bring me a shot.”
“Unless you meant a shot of ginger or a vaccination of some sort, you’re not getting any other sort of shot. I need the alcohol if I’m on duty to take care of you.”
“Ouch, and here I thought were are on our way to getting along.”
“That’s adorable-- but you thought wrong. “Friendships make you weak, they make you vulnerable; things I will not allow myself to be.”
“Someone not expected, the person murdered was a pureblood and not a traitor at that.”
“This is going to be tougher to figure out than I thought.”
Alexei nodded noticing the change. “I don’t know since I just kind of met you, but to be fair I only knew her for a couple months. I guess in some ways I didn’t really know her.” He shared as his somewhat happy expression also fell.
Nova nodded. He was right, he barely knew her-- but Nova knew that she must’ve been a better person for Nova had done things she was not proud of. “Who was she to you?”
“Couldn’t have said it any better myself. We are actually pretty close now.
“Now that’s unexpected if you ask me.”
“I think it’s best I not elaborate, would hate to kill even more of your brain cells.”
“Oh no-- don’t you worry about it. They’re only at risk when I’m around you.”
