HEY ARTISTS!

Do you design a lot of characters living in not-modern eras and you’re tired of combing through google for the perfect outfit references? Well I got good news for you kiddo, this website has you covered! Originally @modmad made a post about it, but her link stopped working and I managed to fix it, so here’s a new post. Basically, this is a costume rental website for plays and stage shows and what not, they have outfits for several different decades from medieval to the 1980s. LOOK AT THIS SELECTION:

i did some math and discovered a terrifying fact

Your measurements and the one on the left don’t match up! The original Byakuya leg image made sure that the 0 and 20 lined up exactly with the top and bottom of the sprite, unlike yours which simply fitted the sprite to the ruler! Also, the center line should be placed directly at the top of Togami’s belt!

The real comparison should look like this:

THAT REASONING IS FLAWED!

It’s been flawed from the beginning, actually - because this has never been a measurement of his legs, it’s a measurement of his feet plus the height of his pants! He’s wearing two different pairs of paints - the second pair could very well have a higher waist than the other. And for that matter, the pants’ waist is fairly far up his abdomen! Where does the abdomen stop and the leg begin?

Let’s clear this up, here and now, shall we?

For this measurement, let’s use where the crotch of his pants is for the top of the leg, because chances are he is consistent in that respect, and the bottom of the shoes for the bottom of the leg, because I cannon accurately tell where his ankle would be.

In the first image on the left, he is roughly 52.6% leg.

In the image on the right, he is roughly 54.8% leg.

And thus, we can conclude that Togami is now 2.2% more leg.

I hope this don't sound rude, but how you can draw in anime style and still make expression so well? I just watched the Congratulation Animatic and Angelica's faces are sooooo good. I only started do make good expression when i switched from anime to a more cartoon-ish art style. what's your secret? 👀

That’t actually a question i get hella often… and i actually made a long time ago a small tutorial…  well i think it doesnt hurt to put it in….

I am pretty sure its not that helpful…and i will definitly try to dig deeper in it next time… (god i suck at tutorials XD i hope u forgive me XD)
