Swiftly following last year’s Sunbathing Animals and Content Nausea, New York punk-rockers Parquet Courts have announced plans to drop two split 7″s in August. The first is a cover of Pretty Girls by Joey Pizza Slice (Son of Salami) which is released by Wharf Cat Records on August 11. The next, dropping on August 14, will be a live recording from a show with Brooklyn post-punk act Big Ups.
The Joey Pizza Slice split, which also features Joey Pizza Slice’s take on Parquet Courts’ Picture Of Health, arrives August 11 on Wharf Cat, and is limited to 500 copies. The Big Ups live split is out August 14 on VERA/LIVE, and is limited to 300 copies.
