While the previous ask was aggressive and inflammatory, Admin Rose stands by their actions and words due to previous circumstances and a desire to protect their friends from someone whom they have had multiple bad experiences around. It was a moment of heavy feelings as both a moderator and an individual. Just a quick announcement that neathbow has a twitter now, where we’ll be promoting as well. Considering the content issues tumblr is having currently we are hoping to get more visibility over there. Should tumblr go defunct truly or become unusable due to tags breaking or other reasons, we’ll announce any procedural changes on here and on the twitter. Neathbow RP Open, Again!

Neathbow RP is officially leaving it’s beta phase! We’ve really done it!!

As of this past weekend, all necessary pages (minus mun pages and the master list) are live for reading. If there’s any questions you have on our information, please feel free to send in an ask.

So, we are officially accepting new members reserves and apps to the server! However, our lovely beta members are also currently writing and submitting their apps, so if there’s a slower turn around please be patient as we have given those members 3 weeks to finish their writings due to quantity and the time of year (happy finals season to many of us especially).

If you sent an ask in previous to this, we’d recommend resending it as reserves are starting from scratch and with the inbox we have to get through, it’s unlikely we’ll be getting down to things from before the beta any time soon.

Quests and planning for our next holiday Event will start soon as well, but for now we’re focusing on membership and apps for Lore Keeper, so stay tuned for posts on those too. 

And on a less business related side, I’d personally like to thank each of our beta members for giving us feedback and helping to make Neathbow a stronger and more fun place to spend time. And a special thanks to our mods, Jay and Rowell, they do so much for this place I can’t even start to describe it all. So, thank you everyone.

Neathbow RP Beta

In the effort of clarifying and streamlining the lore and functionality of the Neathbow server, we are moving a half step sideways to an Operational Beta. Applicants who know someone already in the server are welcome to apply, however channels are likely going to be purged often, and retconning *may* happen during this rework.

We’re not closing, we’re growing, and when we’re back open 100% things will be better than ever! In the meantime we look forward to fielding as many questions as we can about Neathbow so it can be improved and polished. Thank you so much for your patience! -Admin Rose

Neathbow RP Opening!

It’s the 1890’s, and you’ve just been stolen by bats. Wherever you were, whatever state you were in, it was fast, and confusing. It was black as night and there was not a spark of light until your eyes opened and you could see cavern lights glimmering above you. The last of the bats flit away and you’re left standing in a quarter of the underground city, with only your clothes and what you hold left to your name.

Traditional entry to the Fifth City usually involves getting thrown in prison. It’s a bit of a rite of passage for those not born here. Some unlucky fellows may end up that way yet! The constables saw the bats and they’re looking at you funny. Strange newcomers often get mishandled at first. Can’t be too sure with all the crime around here y'know? But worry not as the prison in the stalactite above has some…interesting holes in its security.

Worry more about the brief searing touch of the Echo Bazaar on your mind, body, and soul. Worry more about something shining distant on the horizon, and the dark waters close at hand. Worry about how you got here, as well as what even is here…

And perhaps worry about the weird book in your pocket that’s writing in itself.

Neathbow is a 18+ MFRP set in the world of Fallen London and Sunless Sea. It’s main goal is to deliver a mature space for narrative horror and mystery while remaining pleasurable to the reading and writing palate. Detailed knowledge of canon is not necessary. We’re officially open to the public as of August 8th, and will be taking reserves, applications, and questions from here on out. We hope to meet you in the Neath soon!
