Neat Pieces Antiques/Heritage Heart Pine’s historical building
The buildings that house the multiple shops that together create Neat Pieces Antiques and Heritage Heart Pine were built from 1896 to 1905. They included a hardware store, a grocery store, a drug store and two banks. During this time period Carlton was a cotton distribution town, and in its prime had a depot, cotton gin and corn mill. The second floor of the antique shop was a skating rink for town residents for its first 10 years.
