Hi, what are your thoughts on the Tiny toons Reboot? For me I'm a bit disappointed in how it was handled and especially the decisions in the writing of it also obviously the poorly made twin decision between Buster and Babs. For me the concept of a reboot for the Tiny toons had potential but Looniversity missed the mark, I know that the canon-universe of the Looney tunes franchise doesn't usually go that deep into it's writing but I was hoping that something would change within in that but instead we got a more simplistic, filler, and repetitive reboot. I know you already spoke a couple of times on how you felt about the reboot when it first came out but do you have any other thoughts about it now that more episodes had came out?
Uuu! I saw a couple of screenshots but I wasn't sure they had released a new season! I'll definitely try to check it out!
About Babs and Buster relationship change. It didn't bother me THAT much. Mostly because I didn't grow up with Tiny toons so deeply. It bothers me in the sense that is such a huge change (specially due to the previous romantic interest) and it bothers me in the sense that it seems to be impossible to see characters who are just friends with no romantic tension whatsoever, when they are different genders (even I fail at this some times HAHA,,,, sorry sometimes it's just too temping)
By making them brothers, I guess they give more space to Babs to exist without any danger of becoming just a romantic interest or exceed in romantic centered narratives (I'm guessing) which I can appreciate (even though it's a little dumb, they HAVE TO BE BROTHERS. They literally could have just been friends)
From what I recall. I think I did enjoy their "brotherly" relationship. And Buster's co-dependence to his sister (in the reboot, hehe) but I might have to look into it more.
Front the other thing you are saying, I think I understand. HAHAHA IT'S SO AWESOME TO READ IN BETWEEN LINES (Specially like in Baffy HEHEHE (The ship between Bugs and Daffy) because since they have so much history and content throughout different medias and times, it's super fun to find crombs and make while guesses sustained by small or big events!) and that also applies with the world!
It's so fun to explore the unwritten rules and senseless logic of their world (and I consider myself a lover of slice of life content, GOSH I'D DO MANY THINGS TO GET ANOTHER SITCOM SHOW OF CARTOONS JUST LIKE "The Looney tunes show" THAT'S WHY I LOVE THE GOOFY MOVIES SO MUCH TOO!)
I don't know what you are talking about right not but I can already kinda guess that maybe the new episodes don't bring in new proposals or are maybe re-using plots that have always been used. I hope not,,,, now I'm really scared and curious. I don't know- I guess it may be sort of complex to get serious with something that has always meant to be silly and fun. BUT GOSH, TODAY WE ARE IN A TIME THAT IS SO FUN TO MAKE EVERYTHING EDGY AND DRAMATIC. And they have other shows (like Looney tunes cartoons) to play around with the senseless fun. I'll try to watch it to see what you mean. But definitely, what excited me the most about tiny toons (was to see Daffy) was to get more insight of the characters even in tiny little crombs to build them up in my mind, and interpret their actions under a more fun edgy light, hehe
