Time! To! Sew!! Like so many others, my productivity during Covid has suuucked. D: Hard to not hold it against myself given it feels like productivity should have *increased* given there’s literally been so many hours at home. BUT! Fortunately I know that’s not rational or fair. Aaaanyway, I’m working on a batch of twelve scorpions. :> Time to fix that productivity problem!!

I got a new toooy ;D Texas is quite unfortunately one of the states where you can’t vote by mail without an ‘excuse,’ and 'might die of COVID-19’ is not an accepted reason. SO! For the first time, I'mma be working as poll worker, helping with in-person voting.

That might seem like an odd thing to bring up on a photo with a lightbox (and beautiful kitty!) buuut–I mention it since I'mma be hustling this next week to post a bunch of new/premade plushies to fill my shop with til Nov. 4, since I won’t have much time to sew but have boxes of already-made plush I’ve never even shared yet :> So stay tuned!

Opening up these corn husks definitely feels like Christmas ;D This type of corn can turn out to be almost ANY color so we’ll see what we get

Rainbow coooorn :D it’s the time of year that the stalks are starting to dry up, so I wanted to pick one as a kind of sneak peak (not gonna pick anymore for a couple more weeks), but oh man, this one didn’t disappoint

From orb to pumpkin with just a bit of shaping with yarn :D

It still needs it’s needlesculpting ofc, but I quite like this biggest version :D It’s super chonk and satisfying to squish.

While I want to make bigger versions of most of my plush eventually, I find this batch especially cute since technically speaking, any size of pumpkin counts as ‘life-size’ ;D

Is it an orange? Nay, it’s a pumpkin ;D These are the same plush, but without needle-sculpting (left) and with needle-sculpting (right)

Gonna have a whole ‘harvest’ of pumpkins when I’m done with this batch :> I don’t have any listed online yet, but I’m experimenting with making a variety of sizes instead of always just teeny.

Not exactly in-season, but I'mma be making a new bunch of pumpkins ;D Unfortunately I miscounted how many I had in my ‘inventory’ so I came up one short. But just making a single one-off isn’t efficient so.. a whole bunch of pumpkins in July hooo! :p

My machine lives again!! Unfortunately the tension knob breaking probably couldn’t have happened at a worst time, between things being shut down and a massive spike in machine repairs given how many people are making masks o:

But eyyy it’s fixed nao and that’s what counts, even if it WAS in the shop for six weeks
