Sakura:
“Geh…” Sakura had no issues going toe to toe with Kotaro, but he was definitely better at keeping up the momentum than she was. The longer they had a yelling match, the more likely he was going to trip her out with a comment she didn’t expect. And he’d done it. How do you respond to the absurd idea that your parents might have given you, a zombie, tips on being responsible AS A ZOMBIE?
Not that she could even respond, since he’d gone out of his way to cut her off.
“I know that you took care of us fine, but I didn’t appreciate it until I came here. Kotaro-san… I was so scared.” A single tear suddenly took shape in the corner of her dead eyes, dripping down her cheek. Her anger had quickly turned to the depression she’d suffered through only several months prior.
“That’s why, for the other girls… please make sure you take care of them just as well as you did in Saga.”
Oh. Oh no. He wasn’t good with crying! Kotaro would much rather deal with the wrath of undead teenagers than the tears they could shed any day. Even so, he holds strong, expression stoic as he hears Sakura out. A rub of his temples and a mildly agitated sigh later, one hand reaches out to rest upon her shoulder.
“ Why the hell would I abandon Franchouchou because we’re in a new space? This is a bright new opportunity to spread your name further! Besides Tae, who else is here? ”
( He’s definitely trying to get off the more heavy-handed part of the topic. )
“ Besides, a man such as myself does not turn back on his words! I told you I would never abandon you either, and I fully intend to follow through! Do not underestimate me, Sakura! ”
Is this is method to cheer her up? Maybe. Is it any good? … Possibly!
