"Hello again, my love..."
That voice. It would not matter whether a thousand million years had passed, he would always know that voice. It was branded in his mind, like background music. He constantly heard it, every word she had said or every song she had sung. He had never truly forgot it.He opened his mouth. To speak, to say something, but nothing seemed to leave his mouth except a strangled gasp.
My crimson eyes watched the Necromancer in awe, almost enjoying the sight of his struggle, but at the same time, feeling a never ending pit of guilt fill me. My absence was almost unforgivable, but something had to be done to take care of my pack and my homeland. Things had gotten hard, and I couldn’t bear myself to drag Nec into it. I just couldn’t.
Taking a step forward, I began to smile. “It’s been a long time…”
"To long!" He snapped suddenly, breaking, wirling around to face her, his hands curled tightly into hard threatening fist. "Why the hell did you do it? Why did you ...." And just as suddenly as the anger had come to him, it left him, leaving him with a head bowed in shame and his hands hung loosely at his sides. He didn't even bother apologizing.
