Reminder to pinch hitters and those who asked for an extension: You need to get your gifts in by the end of today, or let me know ASAP if you won’t be able to. The gifts are going up at midnight and there are still a few unfulfilled assignments that NEED to be fulfilled before Ao3 will let me reveal the gifts.

The Deadline is here!

Today is the deadline to get your gifts in! If it’s looking like you’ll need an extension, you NEED to let me know by midnight tonight so I’m not needlessly scrambling for more super-last-minute pinch hitters, (or trying furiously to come up with more pinch hit gifts myself.)

If necessary, said SUPER FAST pinch hitters, along with the lovely people who have already taken on pinch hits, will have until March 20th to get their assignments finished, at which point all the gifts will be revealed!! We’re in the home stretch, everyone!

Hello my friend I'm part of the palestuck exchange and I don't rly get the check in thing...What do I have to do?

Reply to the email that was sent out with a quick, “Hey! I’m (ao3 username) and I am on track to get my gift done/can get it done but need an extension/can no longer do my gift, and would like to call in a pinch hitter to take over for me.” I’ll usually respond pretty quickly to let you know I got your response!

THIS IS YOUR LAST DAY TO CHECK IN!

Guys. Only about half of you have checked in so far, and there are only 3 hours left before you are dropped. At midnight (CST), anyone who has not checked in will be dropped from the exchange, and a pinch hitter will take over your assignment. I would really appreciate a response, even if you are dropping out anyway. And keep in mind you can ask for an extension!

I can’t really afford to be flexible with this. Our pinch hitters need as much time as possible to work, and I need to know if your giftee needs one.

That means if you think you will have to drop out, or if you're going to require an extension on your assignment, this is the time to tell the mod! Please respond to this as soon as possible and let me know if you are still on-track to complete your assignment. You have until 11:59:59 (CST) on Tuesday, March 7th to respond, but after that I'll have to assume you're dropping out, and I will default you and call in a pinch-hitter. Yes, sorry! Life has been getting in the way of me collecting everyone’s email addresses, but since the weekend is starting I will have time tomorrow to get everything back in order! Keep an eye on your inboxes this weekend.

When are we allowed to post our fics to the exchange? Bc every time I try to do it I get an error message.

Are we going to be able to see everyone's requests?

Yes! Sorry, I meant to change that earlier, but you should be able to see requests now! So if anyone would like to submit treats, take an extra prompt, etc. feel free!

Assignments are now being sent out!

A full 4 days early! Wow! Turns out a lot of you were REALLY on the same page this time around. I hope this is an indicator of a lot of happy gifters and giftees. 

You can now begin work on your fic/art! Remember that you can submit it at any time up until the due date, and edit your submission from there if you’d like. (Also if you get done early, why not consider signing up again as a pinch hitter? Wink wink, nudge nudge, etc.) 

If you need to drop out or request an extension at any point during the exchange, LET ME KNOW ASAP so I can call in a pinch hitter for your assignment if necessary. 

Also, I’ll be checking in with you all via your ao3 emails in about 2 weeks, so keep an eye on that! I’m excited y’all! Happy gifting!

That means matching has begun! I will be going over the ao3-generated matches over the course of the next few days, and you should all have your assignments by February 20th (assuming there are no extenuating circumstances.)  

If you weren’t able to sign up this time, keep in mind you can still sign up to be a pinch hitter for this exchange! And there will be another exchange yet this year, so don’t worry if you missed this one!
