It was the annual Unovan train convention, Ingo stood on the platform, looking over at a crowd of people, staring at one particular green haired boy he hadn’t seen in 16 years. It was one of the Striaton Gym Leaders, Cilan. Ingo huffed as his brother, Emmet, came up behind him and put a hand on his shoulder.
“You want to go over and say hi…?” asked Emmet.
“I… I’m not sure…” Ingo said, hesitantly.
“Come on… he’s your son…!”
“I know he is! But…’ Ingo reached into his coat and pulled out a photo, it was a picture of a 16 year old Ingo, he looked scared in the picture, holding three newborns.
“I haven’t been in their lives for the past 16 years… he wouldn’t even know I’m his father… and their mother doesn’t want me to tell them who I am…”
“Then don’t…” said Emmet, firmly, Ingo looked at Emmet.
“Don’t tell him you’re his father…! You can just be Ingo to him…!”
Ingo looked from Emmet back to the photo, then glanced at Cilan again. Ingo huffed and put the photo away.
“I’m not ready… let’s… let’s just get something to eat before our next panel…”
Ingo and Emmet walked off, but then, Ingo accidentally walked into someone.
“My goodness! I’m so sorry!” Ingo said, as he held out his hand for the person. When their hands held, they locked eyes, it was Cilan! Cilan’s eyes went wide.
“You two are the Subway Bosses! Ingo and Emmet!” gasped Cilan.
Ingo glanced at Emmet, who grinned at him, before looking back at Cilan and smiling.
