My biggest fear used to be the unknown. But as I’ve gotten older I’ve realized the unknowns of the future are better than the inevitable negative aspects (i.e. death, losing friends, etc.) of life. At least there’s a glimmer of hope when the future holds possibilities instead of inevitable shitty fates. Now I fear more what I know, yet high hopes for the things I don’t.

Lately things have been making me feel old and it's a weird feeling. It's not a mid-life crisis but more a nostalgia for the past and the things I'll never get back; the memories that can never be recreated. I romanticize them in my mind, but I also realize how soon it's going to be before my friends can't hang out all the time because they will have wives and husbands and kids. I just wish time wasn't so fast, and that friends had more of a prominent role in our adult lives.
