                              DROP DEAD !! â
[ RULES. | ABOUT. ]
popping in here to inform everyone, i have moved stretch to @eievuimultimuse so if you wish to interact with him, go there
can ghosts change their appearance without any trouble? does it strain yourself to shapeshift for long?
â EH, FOR SOME, itâs hellish anâ for others like me it comes as easy as breathinâ. And, uhâ yeah, you could say that itâs a bit of a pain in the ass tâ hold after a while. â ( Heâs tested this before just to test his limits, way, way back in the day â longest heâs maintained shape is just barely under an hour before he had to snap back out of exhaustion. )
any tips for a failing scarer? im totally flunking my scaremester and i need help from the best :(
HE QUIRKS A brow at the rather random request, but he canât help but give a slight smirk at it at the same time. Certainly wouldnât be the first time some kid ghost came to him asking for tips â thatâs just what happened when you were one of the best. And he was usually more than glad to oblige; partly because of a slight ego boost, if you will, but also âcause, hey, he felt for âem a liâl. He mightâve been the best scarer, but he certainly didnât come out of the grave with a natural talent for it or nothinâ.
â Ehhh, I might have a few tricks, yeah. â He starts putting up his fingers as he lists them off. â Gauge your audience â some folksâll snap like a twig or faint like an old granny at a mere âbooâ, but some fleshies get particularly annoyinâ and need the more of a build-up, else theyâll brush yaâ off. In that case, stick to small things, nothinâ in-your-face but nothinâ that theyâll gloss over, either. Itâll get their attention, and, eventually, itâll make âem paranoid. Makes âem easier tâ scare that way. â
â If yaâ donât got that sorta time â and with school, canât blame yaâ if yaâ donât â mirror tricks are always a simple but effective go-to. Most fleshies ainât expectinâ their reflection tâ change or nothinâ, so use that tâ your advantage. Even the most resilient fleshieâll probâly crap themselves in shock if nothinâ else. Not a guarantee, of course, but itâs got a high percentage oâ workinâ. Also, just tâ add on, never hurts tâ work on your shapeshiftinâ. Takes a lot oâ work anâ I know itâs a pain in the ass when yaâ donât naturally got a reflection, but just try tâ see how far you can distort your form, âcause the further yaâ can, the more frights you can pull. Iâd daresay itâs my speciality, anâ look where itâs gotten me ! â
He gives the anonymous struggling student a slap on the back. â Welp, thatâs âbout it in the advice department, kiddo. Keep my wise words oâ wisdom in mind, and who knows ! Maybe youâll be half as good as me one day. Now go on â scram. â

â I HOPE MY ex is dead. I hope my old friends who I out grown are dead. I hope everyone who has done me dirty has died. Anybody I hurt, I hope youâre dying. Forgiveness is dead. Iâm ready to be blessed. â
chilldownyourspineâ:
âś The grin on his face was less wide, instead opting for something closer to a smirk at Stretchâs words. He could practically smell the uncertainty⌠The weakness. Just how he liked it! Still, he was no fool; Snatcher understood he was marveled for a reason, as are most people. He wasnât here to make enemies⌠Just to have some fun.Â
â Oh, my mistake, then! â Snatcher said, leaning his face real close to his. â Though, with that nickname, one has to wonder why you have it⌠If I pulled you from top to bottom reeeeeeeeeeal hard and as far as I can, would you break apart into two ectoplasmic pieces, or would you be long enough so that even I could skip rope with you? â
He leaned back, cackling, seemingly amused at his own odd humor. â AHAHAHAHAHAAAA! Oh, wouldnât that be something? Then again, maybe youâre the one who does the stretching. After all, they call me The Snatcher for a very on-the-nose reason, but Iâm not here to make assumptions! âÂ
Finally, he decides to let Stretch have his personal space, leaning against the barâs counter, paying no mind to the other ghosts looking at him in wariness (or, more boldly, veiled annoyance). â Ah, I forgot how good it was to go out and have fun! I mean, the terrorizing and gatekeeping of your domain is nice and all, but the living arenât so lively, you know. Just toooooo serious. â
HE FOUND HIMSELF leaning away slightly as Snatcher grew closer to his face, his forced smile wavering and eventually falling upon hearing that brutal âjokeâ of his, trying hard not to wince at the rather vivid mental image that gave. Truthfully, he could probably stretch himself as far as he wanted ( shapeshifting was more or less his speciality, he daresay; itâd be terribly sad if he were limited in such a way ) â but that didnât mean that it wouldnât hurt a lot if he were pulled in the way this ghost described.
Stretch promptly took this as a sign that he needed to ease up just a touch on the humbleness, lest he found himself being treated like a piece of taffy. He cleared his throat, straightening himself up even further, stating, â Well, I am flexible. â As though to prove his point, violet eyes flickered to the side for a moment, which was followed by an arm extending a fair distance just to casually yoink a drink from some ghost that wasnât paying attention, retracting it to bring the glass close to his own lips. â But, uhâ the nameâs unrelated tâ that, believe it or not. â With that, he took a sip from the glass, not really caring whether it was his typical preferred choice of drink. ( Lord knows he could use the liquid courage anyway. )
He gave a quirked brow at the other mentioning his name, though he was mid-drink and thus unable to question it before the spectre suddenly backed away from Stretch, earning a silent, relieved sigh through his nose. ( He decided against questioning the meaning behind the ghoulâs apparent nickname; a name like that possessed absolutely no good connotations, and he was sure that the less he knew, the better. ) He lowered his stolen glass to bark out a laugh in response to his comment about the living.
â Tell me about it. Fleshies just get too high-strung over everythinâ, itâs exhausting tâ watch. â He allowed his tail to relax a little â he was still incredibly wary of the larger ghost, but at least this was the sort of casual conversation he could keep up with without needing to pretend. â Yeah, no, I try tâ get out for similar reasons. âS just good for me tâ get out just tâ try anâ stay loose. â ( No, the irony in saying that was not lost on him. In fact, if he didnât feel like he was starting to lean towards the guyâs good side, it mightâve even been a shot. Actually, knowing Stretch, it might still be. )

âŚÂ Deal Sealed. | @needsanexorcistâ
✠Snatcher couldnât help his guffaw at the reaction heâd gotten once the other turned around, so painfully smug and yet chilling to those who got to hear, most likely contributed to the deep echo of his voice. Snatcher didnât normally stick around other ghosts, preferred being on his lonesome and with those who actually had souls he could take, but on the occasion he would partake in just a little socialization.Â
â Why, thank you! â he spoke with an air of self-importance, his noodle-like limbs moving to place a hand on his own chest. â Yâsee, it doesnât matter how clichĂŠ the scare is, what matters is the theatrics. Consider it a small tip from me to you. âÂ
Snatcher stopped looming over him and instead twisted around, his body closing in on Stretchâs personal space as he got more eye-level with the unfamiliar ghost. (Sheesh, youâd think some would start gettinâ taller, huh? Oh well.)
â I donât come around here often, so I get it, must be preeeeeetty startling to see someone such as myself, huh? Figured while I was out on thâ town, I would take some time to get to know one of the people around here thatâs been claimed to be a high class ghoul! â his perpetual grin never ceased, only stretching more at his face and even past his eyes. â What do they call you, now? Stretchy, was it? â
â AHA, IâLL BE sure tâ keep that in mind, â he replied in response to the otherâs so-called âtipâ, trying to keep the displeasure at the words out of his voice. If this were anyone else, heâd have probably told them how he didnât need any tips in his typical impertinent fashion ( after all, he was the best of the best ! Least, heâd been convinced of such until now ), but he got the feeling this was not the type of ghoul whose . . . wise words of wisdom should be taken lightly let alone rejected.
He felt something recoil in his spectral form â a ghostâs equivalent of shivers going up oneâs spine â as Snatcher decided to invade in his personal space, a feeling of discomfort rapidly sinking in. He was most certainly not a fan of being quite this close with this guy. ( And yes, he was aware that this was probably how many other felt when he did the same to them. Was this going to convince him to change his habits, though ? Probably not. )
Stretch attempted to keep his discomfort hidden, however, forcing a smile on his face, back remaining bent, tail curled up â overall appearing quite docile beneath the larger spectre. ( Which Stretch frankly found pathetic and humiliating, and he absolutely despised it. ) At the mention of him being a âhigh class ghoulâ, he mentally cussed. ( This was always, always the problem with flexing your talent â it left you being highly sought after, usually by schmucks who could never hold a candle to yaâ, but, of course, there was always that chance of someone who could actually give yaâ a run for your money showing up. And when that moment popped up, it always sucked. )
He only allowed himself to straighten up a little as he responded, â Well, I meanâ I consider myself quite humble tâ really refer tâ myself as that, but, yâknow, Iâve certainly had a lot o' folks call me such, so there must be some truth to it, I suppose, yeah. â He tried to toe the line between feigning a certain level of modesty and maintaining his confidence in his status â simply because he wasnât sure which approach was more appealing. On one hand, too modest and heâd be risking getting figuratively trampled over, more than likely. On the other, he keeps up his normally rather boastful demeanour, then suddenly the guy wipes the floor with him. ( Basically, he was trying to figure out which way would be the most painless while still keeping some level of dignity here. )
â Er â Stretch, â he corrected, sounding a little on the curt side, before promptly correcting it with an uneasy chuckle, â Itâs just Stretch, actually. Common mistake, though. â

"Boo!" - snatcher (chilldownyourspine)
@chilldownyourspineâ
STRETCH HAD HIS back turned when he heard the deep voice behind him shouting the classic ghost catchphrase. Sure, the spectre mightâve sat upright simply because he hadnât even heard anyone come up behind him, but heâd hardly flinched. Why would he, when he was practically a master at haunting ?  He scoffed a little, an air of over confidence surrounding him as he jabbed a thumb behind him. â Listen tâ this chump, â he spoke derisively. â Tryinâ tâ get a rise outta me with a cheap âbooâ. Yeah, right, like heck thatâd everâ â Â
As soon as heâd actually turned around to see Snatcher behind him, it felt like he got slammed by a shockwave, letting out a startled yelp and moving backwards. ( Not that it really did anything, putting that space between them; the guy was still huge compared to him â and considering Stretch was named for his height, that was sayinâ something. ) You know how humans just seem to know when theyâre confronted with something that may actually be a threat to them ? Well, take that feeling, and make it tenfold, and youâd come pretty close to what Stretch experienced in that moment. He immediately got the feeling that between the two of them, he wasnât the scarier one.
â Ah . . . aha. â He scrunches his tail up, making him seem even smaller. â Heeey big fella, you, uhâ yaâ startled me, I didnât see yaâ there âtil just now. â Thereâs nervous laughter in his tone as he speaks, but everything else about him is silently begging for the other not to hurt him. â Yâknow, your, uhâ your âbooâ ainât none too bad, probâly one of the best I heard, actuallyâ â
She's imperfect but she tries She is good but she lies She is hard on herself She is broken and won't ask for help She is messy but she's kind She is lonely most of the time She is all of this mixed up And baked in a beautiful pie
stop bullying him he was born in a wet cardboard box all alone
