hello all! i hope everyone has had a wonderful new year's. this is all a bit embarrassing for me to write up but i figured hey. it's worth a shot so here goes!

to introduce myself, i'm kels - a nonbinary muslim woman kinda struggling to make ends meet every month. and one of my new year's resolutions is to end 2026 in better financial standing than last year! as some of you may already know, 2025 was pretty rough for me with rent/medical bills/surprise car repairs... so i'm humbly coming to you all again for help making a dent in my debt. 🫠

as much as it pains me to admit it, right now i owe ~$2600 to my bank 😬

while i have made some in progress paying it back, something always seems to arise every other month and makes me sink deeper into debt 😭 and i can't keep making barely above my minimum payments or i'll be in debt forever.

i know we're all passing around the same 20 bucks, but if any of you would be so gracious as to help me get on the right foot to start off the year, i would be eternally grateful. even if it's just a simple reblog to get the word out, thank you!

right now, my most urgent need is paying off part of my credit card balance for this month. my minimum payment is $49... but i'd like to pay back a little more than that, so i'll set a tentative goal of $200.
