David Velasquez is a freelance illustrator, graphic designer and especially a comic book artist from Bogotá/Colombia. He is currently working on a really fun independent comic book called ToonMan: The Animated Ace for the NRG Comics brand, Xenozoans for Dreams Uncharted and a third book called Pyra: The Red Starlet for ThePyraUniverse. He has worked on a couple of different independent comic books in the past like the successfully funded Graphic Novel Zombies hate KungFu on KickStarter, the graphic novel for kids called The Accidental Warriors ( who has really good reviews on Amazon and sold lots of copies ) also Merauder: Rogue Wave Pirates issues#1 and #2, and a couple more comic books that went solely into digital format. David has also been published in different re-known books like the Darkstalkers tribute, World of Warcraft tribute and Capcom fighting tribute published by the Canadian editorial of Udon Entertainment. On a local level, he was published in a couple of diverse publications like the Colombian pop culture Shock magazine, El Malpensante magazine about intellectual reading articles and several children's books by Bebe Genial. David hasn't landed any projects on Marvel and DC comics yet, but he was published at the SanDiego Comic-Con souvenir books of 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2016 with anniversary tribute illustrations for re-known characters like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Avengers, Spy vs Spy, Usagi Yojimbo, Bone and many more. In the animation field he shortly helped with illustrations and backgrounds for the six episode Animism series by the Zeros 2 Heroes company and also the animated series HarmonQuest Season 1 for Starburn Industries. David enjoys working with different types of companies, clients and projects but he will always return to what he does best, comic books!
Dani ( a.k.a American Star ) absorbs ambient and direct solar and cosmic rays which are then converted into a form of bio-energy. The energy Dani expels has a mostly concussive nature to it but does have a low-level heat signature. The more she concentrates the beam the higher the intensity of the heat. The strongest of her abilities, at full power Dani can punch through steel plating but high output expulsion drains her and will require time to recharge. Dani is continually absorbing energy and as such this ability is still growing.

Ok guys, I don´t know if you remember but a while ago I did an awesome commission of this same character for @electricdawgy and he liked it so much that he commissioned me the same character again ( picked from the other sketches that I have provided the first time ) so this would be Antonov part 2. Again, and amazing character to work on, very fun, with lots of energy and personality. A total blast to have drawn him again.

Song of Silence’s suit is outfitted with state-of-the-art sound sculpting technology that absorbs music and sound from outside sources and weaponizes it against others, ultimately creating a mute effect within the area. His technology means that Melody cannot play her music to use her powers.
The most monstrous and savage of the Carnival of Killers ( NRG Universe ) was the thing known as the Camel-Man. One of the many superhuman experiments to be released or escape from Think Tank holdings falling the fall of the Vaudeville base in Toonman’s debut, the Camel-Man had no name, its origins being that of a nicotine baby born by a mother who smoked heavily during pregnancy miraculously still alive thanks due to its neo-human gene being activated during pregnancy.
The Camel-Man is a hulking mutant powerhouse with a wide variety of powers such as super strength, invulnerability, healing, a burning touch, the ability to spew tar from his mouth, and breaths a mind-controlling nicotine-laced smoke breath that puts people under his control.
Olivia Page aka Bad Girl is meant to incarnate the iconic bad girl pinup art made popular during the 90s era of comic book publishing, which focused heavily on dark, violent anti-heroines who's adventures were often magical and occulting in origin. So a lot of her design and character is heavily influenced by indie super heroines such as Witchblade, Tarot, Elektra, Lady Death, and Vampirella.
She is a master of dark and occultic magic, all further enhanced by her demonic heritage. Also a master combatant with expertise in many weapons, both modern, ancient and magical.
I had the pleasure to work again with @electricdawgy on another awesome commission that surely was an absolute blast like all of the other artworks that I´ve made for him through the years. It´s been a long time since he commissioned me but he came with a vengeance and asked me to draw the super fun Antonov from King of Fighters.

Good Girl is a scientific genius with doctorates in many fields, such as astrophysics, engineering, and more. Utilizes gadgets such as rocket-jetpack, multi-spectral goggles and swiss-army raygun to combat evil.
It was by far the strangest thing Vaudeville ( NRG Universe* ) had ever seen since the arrival of Toonman: a giant, blue-skinned tyrannosaurus rex whose appearance of an almost alien nature. Seemingly appearing out of nowhere, this massive prehistoric monster would make itself known within the properties of major corporations and businesses in Vaudeville, leveling everything until nothing was left. Despite being hard to miss, the blue t-rex would manage to vanish from the public eye almost as fast as it came, leaving authorities and many superheroes baffled. It wasn’t until the combined efforts of the Golden State Garrison managed to submit the creature in a one-on-one battle did they discover what - or rather who - the creature was.
The name “T-Rekt”, was given to him by Slamazon*, and it ended up sticking. Amber fossil transforms holder into a giant, blue-skinned Tyrannosaurus Rex with superhuman strength, speed, durability, and fangs.

Following Earth’s encounter with the alien tycoon tyrant Magnat ( NRG UNiverse* ) and learning about the planet’s status amongst life amongst the stars, mankind soon had a secondary encounter with life from amongst the stars, this one far more benevolent. A eager Telepian dubbing himself “The Spaceman”, he claimed to have been the last of his species and one of the greatest warriors acting as a representative for the Parliament of Planets, sent to Earth on a mission of peace and aid after earth’s heroes has proven themselves capable of repelling Magnat. With his seemingly vast and powerful telekinetic abilities, the Spaceman quickly went to work to bring peace, justice and equality to the planet earth.
Spaceman’s species are capable of vast, untapped telekinetic powers. So far he has shown the ability to levitate, move objects, create forcefields and bind others, enhance his conditioning, fire blasts of telekinetic energy, etc.
Kahori, is a Japanese-American college graduate and a tomboy at heart. She likes watching action/suspense films, playing trade games, and reading horror novels. She´s also an active soccer player and practices martial arts.
But her true passion is drawing, as she hopes to be a professional comic book writer/artist one day. Though stubborn and ignorant, Kahori deeply loves her family and cares for everyone´s well-being ( even those less kind ).
While not keen on wearing a pink skirt to battle monsters or transforming into a giant monster herself, Kahori is willing, if not reluctant, to
stand for the Earth, drive off the invading aliens, and protect her hometown… if she doesn´t accidentally destroy it first.

The best way to describe Nitro-Jen is that she is a living transformer, Nitro-Jen is a fusion between man and automobile machine.
With experimental nitrogen energy fueling her body, Nitro-Gen is a speedster able to reach up to bast 400 miles/hr. Her metal body offers her resistance against friction, deprived oxygen and kinetic impact of such speeds. In addition, she is able to expel her energy into the form of “after-burner” blasts and daggers.
Another awesome commission that I had the opportunity to work on about an original Steven Universe character ( doesn´t appear on the series ) created by @FadingEmerald
Although I never got to watch the complete series, I watched a couple of episoded and I was in love with the art style. But since I never made a fanart of Steven Universe, this was a great opportunity to catch up and make something along those lines. So thank you so much to @FadingEmerald for the opportunity and I´m really glad you liked the final result of the commission.

Ok, I´m glad to announce that I´m going to be working on Pyra: The Red Starlet comic book/graphic novel from now on ( alongside ToonMan and Xenozoans next issues ) and I´m very happy and excited to start working on it.
I´m humbble that so many awesome artists have tried and draw this character before ( very inspiring ) so it was challenging to bring her to life with my own distinctive and vibrant style.
Here is the final design as she will be appearing on super heroe form in the interior pages of the book. It took me a couple of tries before getting her right but at the end I accomplish Pyra in all her super heroe glory.
