Well, it's a long story! I actually got into the fandom after coming across some Ghost edits, and I used to be strictly a GhostSoap shipper.

A friend of mine who played the OG CoD MW when she was a kid told me I absolutely had to try the OG games because the storyline is amazing.

So, I bought the MW OG trilogy on Steam. At first, I didn't really pay attention to Makarov. My very first thought when I saw him was, 'Does this guy look like a Chihuahua?! So creepy?!'

Before I got to the 'Blood Brothers' mission in MW3, my friend told me to keep an eye on Makarov and Yuri, saying they were 'so gay' and definitely had a thing going on.

I didn't know what she meant at the time, until I saw that flashback scene myself and completely fell down the rabbit hole.

My absolute favorite ship dynamic is best friends to enemies, loving and killing each other. Plus, Yuri's character carries this heavy, romantic vibe of Slavic tragedy. After that, there was no going back for me!
