are you still antiship? is there anything i can say that would explain why i dont think proshippers are a threat to others? idk how youd even answer this question without inviting discourse and i dont want to argue, i just would like the people i look up to to understand how i think without considering me a danger.

I think the terms antiship and proship are basically rendered meaningless by the wildly inconsistent arguments people make under the same labels. I see no point in using words that mean so many different things you have to redefine them every time they're discussed. And you haven't given me any specifics on the arguments you believe in, so I can't say whether I agree with you on anything or not.

So instead of me guessing what you mean by this, we can be adults and discuss things on a case-by-case basis.

My stances on the usual issues discussed in the "proship-antiship" discourses are as follows: I want there to be stories that thoughtfully reflect on dynamics of abuse, which people can safely access (among other benefits, this is proven to help victims identify and escape abuse); I think that kink is a part of human nature and having a safe place to explore it is necessary; and I think that irresponsibly depicting abusive relationships can be extremely dangerous to people both emotionally and materially and should therefore be taken seriously.

I've seen people I vehemently disagree with use both labels. So I do not want to use either label. Hope this helps.
