I'm not sure if you talk about it a lot, but do you have any general advice on starting game dev? I really enjoyed the style of everyday devil (its combination of visual novel, RPG, and 3d elements is really really cool) and it's inspired me a lot in wanting to make a game of my own, but I'm not sure where to begin at all

I'm not really good at game dev at all, I just kinda brute forced it and as such do not have the best practices!

I'd say first off is thinking about what the game might look like overall, perhaps even starting a design document where you go over stuff you want to include. Make a basic outline.

Then you will likely want to pick a game engine! There's a lot out there - Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot, GameMaker, RPGMaker, Renpy Some better fit certain genres over others and have various pros and cons

I picked Unreal Engine on a whim and stuck with it out of stubbornness personally, but be sure to research and try things out!

i have a restock of the angel standee and a very small amount of the red herring pins. Depending on interest amount, I could order more of the pins! They are more expensive to make so I was being a bit more cautious at the time.

My shop will be closed for a bit as I will be out of town and need to re-inventory.

i wanted to thank you for posting your ocs. seeing your world and how much passion and creativity was put into it inspired me to go back to my old, abandoned middle school ocs from a few years back and revamp them and i've had so much fun since then :)! keep doing what you're doing, it's always a delight seeing a new post from you!

i loveeeee seeing ocs and oc content, there's something so special about them being of your own design and such y'know? a personal piece of the self, a unique perspective and story to tell

love to see when ocs become part of a bigger media project as well! after all, characters and stories gotta start somewhere - and to see all the effort coalesce into comics, games, books, and whatnot is so fulfilling ;w;

I have a PROBLEM *dun dun dun*

I don't know how to draw full body pieces. it's so scary..... I ended up trying one time in the name of facing my fears😭😭and it came out pretty decent but then....I haven't done it since...at least digitally.I really don't know how to go about drawing in perspective. Funny enough I've drawn other full body art on paper that I'm proud of but digitally feels a bit intimidating you know??

Oh man, I don't know how to draw perspective at all really so I have no tips there - sorry!! >,< I just wing that in the rare times i do, or maybe use 3d software to help..

As for drawing digitally, I used to struggle with that a lot as well

I'd recommend just sketching your art on paper first, taking a picture, and then using that as the basis for your digital art! For me that helped until I was more confident just starting straight from digital
