my inner monologue is exactly like Mowing by Ada Limón…. it’s literally so spooky to read her work and think.. wow.. someone finally gets it. she really gets it
ill admit it: kafka’s the trial is one of my very few unfinished books i hated it and i couldnt even get that far in, but i love kafka just bc hes my silly little Girlbug. kafka is an honorary Girl and for that alone i cherish Him. (also bc hes so silly looking and i just really appreciate that about him)
i never thought the bell jar would affect me as much as it is affecting me rn….
i desperately need more angry woman books, but not in a self destructive “view my anger and suffering through the male gaze” way that just shows a bunch of women with internalised misogyny. i need to read about women who are so fucking angry. women who are filled with rage, desperately and helplessly, from head to toe, but don’t use it to self destruct in a way that men would like. women who spit at belittling comments, who are lousy and loud and hate people. deeply. women who are so angry they clench their teeth and growl like animals and you don’t have to read about their worried thoughts about what men must think, how gross they must be; because they don’t care. i desperately need more women in literature who are just awfully angry in a raw way
