Meeting 2 - Kicking Butt and Taking Donations
Our second meeting last night was great (except for the minor confusion about the location of the meeting). We enjoyed an informative meeting and some very yummy yogurt.
We're getting started with our raffle now! We passes out some tickets last night, anyone who would like to sell tickets please contact a team captain so we can set you up with a folder. Our prizes include: Two Six Flags tickets, a 90 minute massage gift certificate, a Blockbuster Movie basket, 3 sets of Hitching Post Theater tickets (2 in a set), Two TCT season passes, and a Mary Kay basket (new addition as of last night). Thanks to all who helped set up these prizes! We'd be glad to have more prizes as well, so keep thinking!
We talked a bit about the magic show, everything for that is running smoothly as of right now. More updates on this in a seperate post soon.
Our booth at the Selecta Pirate's yardsale is looking like a good fundraiser so far. We'll be having another yardsale in June at the Mt. Aire Estates park. If you have things you'd be willing to sell or you know someone with stuff they'd be willing to sell, we'd love to hear about it! We still have a few boxes of stuff from last year too.
We also have a new fundraiser to look forward to, a benefit show! We're looking for a venue to hold this in, if you have any info on that, let us know! We hope to have some of our own Nerds grace the stage and sing, along with some other very talented singers.
Our karaoke night dates will be coming soon, right now we have quite enough fundraisers to be getting along with. May is going to be a busy month!
For a final note, we will be entering "Race For A Cure" at relay this year. We'd like to build a limo and have our Marilyn riding in the back. Anyone who would like to be involved with this project, please contact me ASAP so we can get started planning.
