If you’re gonna blame people for the crimes of their ancestors...
Why stop with white people? What about Arabs? Or the Chinese? Or Native Americans? Oh, and the Nigerians? And lets not forget the West Africans. After all, they GAVE us their OWN PEOPLE to use as slaves.
Slavery is as old as human civilization. It wasn’t just ‘invented’ by white people. But you idiots act as if it was, and give every other race a free pass. I don’t think ANYONE should be held responsible for the actions of their ancestors. But if we are going to, why not blame EVERYBODY? That’s equality, isn’t it? Or does equality stop when it stops benefitting YOU?
Blocked
In other words, you have no rebuttal.
To me, this just sounds like an excuse not hold American society for slavery and the effects we still feel on it today. Sure I know all these other people have had history’s violence, but it just feels childish and ignorant because people only seem to want to mention it in defense of white people’s feelings. All these cherry picked facts does not change the fact that the enslavement of African Americans was recent and current black people are still being discriminated against because of it and current white people are still reaping benefits from their ancestors owning and selling other human beings.
How’s that for a fucking rebuttal
Slavery is still in practice today. India has the most slaves. Over 14 MILLION. Maybe instead of whining about things we can’t help, like the past, we should be working to change things we CAN help, like the present.
That doesn’t change the fact of what’s happened! That today in this world we’re living in right now, black people are still seen as inferior. What’s going on in India does not change what’s happened in America’s past. It doesn’t change the fact that my friend Everette was murdered by the police because of the fact that black lives have been considered lesser, even unconsciously, sometimes consciously. Other tragedies do not subtract or diminish other tragedies and telling black people to get over is really fucking rude. You need to look at yourself
Well let’s sum up.
Slavery was a thing in the United States for about 90 years.
Slavery has been a thing in the rest of the world for about eight thousand years.
White people fought multiple bloody wars to end slavery.
Non-white people are STILL KEEPING SLAVES and STILL ENSLAVING PEOPLE today. This year. 2016. Right Fucking Now.
The reason European Imperialism was such a success around the world was that Europe was invaded constantly for over a thousand years by Vikings, Huns, Mongols, Persians, Turks, and other peoples.
We had been victimized so long that we developed our military tech to the point that we were unstoppable against the other people’s technology, not because we were bad people, because we had been invaded frequently by outside forces, had our people enslaved, had our people killed, had entire tribes and villages and cities raped and murdered and murdered and THEN raped for *centuries*.
Genocide was a real thing that Europeans faced from the entire world for a millenium.
And you want to blame the entire white population of the US for the actions of 1.6 percent of the population; for a sequence of events that lasted for ninety years in this country, that the white population fought multiple bloody wars to end, that non-white people are still practicing and maintaining today.
Does your brain itch?
Are You Fucking Stupid?
So you have no rebuuttal except to show a clip depicting fiction.
You expected an actual argument?
They call us “shady poc”. We dont buy the prescribed narrative of victimhood. We are problematic
Internalized racism?
